If service were an Olympic sport, Umesh would have taken home the gold — possibly even set a world record. From the moment we sat down, he treated our table like VIPs (which, obviously, we are, but still). He’s got that perfect mix of professionalism and warmth — attentive without hovering, charming without trying too hard, and somehow always appearing just when you’re about to ask for something.

It’s as if he has a sixth sense for empty glasses and rumbling stomachs. We joked that he must be secretly teleporting, because how else do you explain someone so consistently on point?

On top of that, he’s genuinely kind, effortlessly polite, and has that calm, confident energy that makes you feel like everything’s under control — even if the place is buzzing. By the end of the meal, we were half tempted to ask if he could just follow us around and manage our lives with the same precision.

10/10 service. If you’re lucky enough to have Umesh as your waiter, trust me — you’re in for a top-tier dining experience with a side of...

Absolutely the culinary highlight of our Malta trip! The Knights Kitchen in Mdina delivers on every level: beautiful location with a charming knight-themed interior, a terrace with a lovely view, genuinely outstanding service, and food that’s just as excellent.

We initially sat outside to enjoy the view, but when the wind picked up and it got a bit chilly, the staff immediately helped us move inside – no fuss at all, just warm and welcoming hospitality.

The quality of the food was far above average for Malta, and the prices were more than fair considering the experience. Other restaurants on the island could really learn a thing or two from this place – especially when it comes to service.

A clear 10/10. Everything was spot-on. We’ll definitely be back next time we...

I put one star because i cant put less. After waiting 45 mins they told us they can’t give us the dinner. We have ordered 1 bottle of wine, as the initial idea was to dinner there. And after 45 mins they came to say “we have no light, sorry, we cant give you any dinner” They told us to go to another restaurant of the group, and as we have served the second glass of wine, they charged us more than half bottle, although the problem was their.

So after ruining our dinner, they don’t even have the courtesy to offer us anything, and on top of that, they charge more than they should.

SUBREALIST!!!

Not only I will never go back, but I’ll also recommend that others DON’T go. They didn’t even have half of what was on the menu anyway, so we didn’t really miss...

Service was the best we have received so far in Malta which has tbh not been the best as of yet. The views and scenery were second to none sat on the roof terrace in a beautiful medieval fortress city overlooking Malta with incredible views. The food was decent, perhaps it's the barmy evening breeze but it felt as if the food came out like warm and ofcourse didn't get any warmer. The calamari was nice, as was the arancini if not a bit cold in the middle with some un-melted cheese. The ribs were a bit tough and difficult to find much meat, and the carbonara coagulated rather quickly into an extremely dense sauce. However I would return, but perhaps eat inside if you're eating late evening. Meal for 2 with starter and mains came to around €90.
