We had a table for 7 + a highchair for a 1 year old baby. We sat down and I immediately noticed with zero scrutiny that my glass was extremely dirty and covered from top to bottom in dried soap suds which I had to ask to be replaced. We then ordered drinks and 2 garlic breads to start. One garlic bread turned up in decent time and the other arrived 15 minutes after we finished the other one. I ordered a pizza which was served to me charcoal black burnt. Practically fossilized, how that got past the waiters and chefs I have NO idea given that the whole of the top of the pizza was completely black. The replacement pizza was then put down infront of the one year old baby in the highchair. We all then told the waiter not to do that and he looked baffled as if serving a hot plate to a one year old was normal. All he had to do was glance at the gaping empty spot infront of me but no he didn't look at the table and gave it to a baby. The waiter also muddled up a plain burger and the chef's special burger which we had to point out to him even though one burger was blatently plain and the other clearly had lots in it. We ordered garlic mayonnaise 4 times in 30 mins and it eventually turned up after the burgers were eaten. We then ordered tubs of ice cream and a slice of "fresh and home-made" cake for dessert. We were then informed that there was no ice cream tubs left and they had sent a guy to go to the shop to buy some more. The carrot cake then turned up and was so stale that we couldn't get a fork in the cake and neither could the waiter as when he looked at us suspiciously when we told him the cake was stale and we asked him to try and he himself confirmed it was stale and then promptly asked if we wanted a different slice of the same stale cake. To make things even worse we were offered coffees as a sorry for the stale cakes which was nice and my mother ordered a tea and she was not expecting a teapot with no tea in it. Seriously they had forgotten to put the teabag in. I'm not making any of this up by the end of the night we were in stitches at how bad this place was. It was painfully obvious that the staff has zero training and the chef doesn't care about the food he produces. We will definitely not be coming...

When we asked for a table for two we were asked whether we had a reservation and as we did not we were told that it would be hard to accommodate. However after a few minutes we were offered a table inside. We placed our order and some time later bread and butter were brought to us. We did not take any of this as it was stale and I have my doubts whether this was brought over from leftovers as we found a couple of pieces that looked as if they had been broken by hand. The pasta was very good although honestly although we had both ordered as main course the amount seemed more like a starter. By the time we finished the restaurant inside were we were seated, was completely empty. So why make it seem as if it was a problem to accommodate. Before we left I pointed out these shortcomings to the lady to whom I paid bill and said she was extremely sorry.

Read moreReally lovely exterior and interior and keen staff. The food is not good. Wow, really bad. I always get burger, it's very difficult to get wrong. You grab a bun, cut it in half, cook a lump of meat, stick it in, add some stuff, done! It's lovely. Unless you do it wrong. Serving undercooked pink meat is not ok. Especially for €15 burger. But the price doesn't matter, you simply don't serve undercooked meat, period. Chips on side? Even worse than the burger. Do you guys fry it up at the beginning of Monday and then reheat it during the week? My wife had some steak, which was just ok, only with the fact, that the chef's steak sauce tasted fusty or mouldy. I don't know, what is happening in this lovely looking restaurant but I suspect, the management is clueless, as there is one more problem at this place. They have too many staff, which is lovely and keen. But disorganised. Meals missing while drinks might get double served. It's like this place was opened after covid, and everybody...
