Il-Veduta — Restaurant in Mdina

Had a family dinner at this restaurant (11 persons), food was ok especially the Milk Fed Veal on the bone but as regards the Sea Bream it was a disaster (99% farm grown & was cooked too much). At 23:20 we asked for the bill and for a last drink which was ONLY x1 Vodka Coke. The waiter (man) gave us his back, took out his mobile and replied ... 'Sorry we cannot serve you a Vodka Coke since the bar closes at 23:00'. We were not the last table, there were at least another 6 tables. That was so unprofessional when considering the bill amounted to €512 (Avg. €46.50 p/p)! Spending this amount for a dinner we should have been granted a free liqueur for all ... BUT NOOOO he didn't even serve us a shot of Vodka & Coke which eventually was going to be added to the bill! Unfortunately this was our last visit to this restaurant, am sorry you will never see us again. Hope this review is read by the owner and consider changing the attitude of the waiting staff and treat customers better and give them an enjoyable experience when spending certain amount of cash. Il-Veduta has become one of my favourite spots whenever I’m in the area. The outdoor seating offers an incredible view of Malta’s landscape, it’s the perfect backdrop whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or having a long, leisurely meal. I’ve been here countless times with friends, and it’s always a great experience. Their tea and cakes are my go-to for something sweet, but honestly, their pizzas are some of the best I’ve had, always fresh, with a crispy base and generous toppings.

What I really appreciate is the atmosphere; it’s relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. It’s a great place for casual meals, but I’ve also celebrated a few friends’ birthdays here, and it’s been the perfect spot for special occasions too.
