10/5! Wellness dates fine dinning The delicious looking menu represents the food that is delivered. I’ve given many 5 star reviews, some probably warrant 4.5 or a 4 and I’ve been in a good mood. However, The Griffin really hits the spot. Fresh faccacio (homemade bread) served with different dips and radish’s from the garden (fyi they don’t charge for extra bread when you want to soak up the delicious sauces every dish come with.. that’s always a big positive!!). Olive oil and Balsamico aren’t some store bought offering you have to request, it’s encouraged (tbf not the balsamico that’s me being greedy). Courses I enjoyed, the chicken and mushroom tortellini… ah gosh it’s so good. Freshly made tortellini of course, plus the pesto / broth sauce combo compliments the hearty chicken and mushroom filling so well. It’s heavy with flavour yet so light to eat. If you like your food, order it as a main.. for a starter. Then roll into the rib eye steak! Which was delicious, flavoursome but felt like something missing.. not sure maybe I’m being picky. It was perfectly cooked, delicious and full bodied from the sauce. But! I’m not sure what it was. I ordered the side of wilted greens which is a great size dish as a side (all dishes are a good size to be fair - you don’t need grandads magnifying glass to find your food). Now for dessert… it’s so easy everyone should have it. A dessert trolly! That’s right a trolly full of sweet goodness. All you want to do is copy the spotty and unfortunately to say it but bad acting of Barry Trotter.. ‘I’LL TAKE THE LOT!’. I did neither of those things. I sat with Roger Rabbit eyes instead and drawled like goofy over the options - cheese cake to fruit cakes to crème brulle to Yuzu macaroons and many more. (See photo). I went for the cheese cake which was light and flavoursome, it’s NOT a New York cheese cake and the cheese will be local of some form, much like different countries milk you either like it or you don’t (I don’t like French milk.. sorry Frogs) Staff are friendly, I think they seem a little rusty as it’s a very new restaurant. Nevertheless, they are all calm, friendly and very much serve with a smile. Bring a light jumper as it can be a little chilly in the evenings. Pricing - well coming from the UK this is an absolute bargain. I paid around €60-80 for 3 dishes, two glasses of wine and a bottle of water. No thanks to Reeves and her plan to steal from any human in the UK I’m sure you could get the same in the UK, BUT you just can’t the meal I had would easily cost £100-£150 in London. Easily! So overall verdict is.. YOU MUST GO. At least once for date night (trust good spot) or a celebration of some sorts. Oh and don’t forget the outside space (see photos) perfect for smokers or a glass of wine before or after your meal.

We went for a casual lunch at Verdala and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to find such creativity on the menu, but what a beautiful surprise it was. Every dish felt so carefully put together, healthy and delicious at the same time. You could really taste the love and accuracy that went into creating them. From the freshness of the salmon to the crunch of the greens and the thoughtful little details in every plate, it was such a joy to eat food that felt light yet so satisfying. It’s rare to find brunch options that are both this tasty and nourishing. To drink, we had a kefir with blueberries, honey, lime and mint, so refreshing and healthy for those good bacteria and a kombucha cocktail that was the perfect balance of flavour and fizz. Both drinks matched the food beautifully and left us feeling really good afterwards. I left the table inspired, happy and nourished. Verdala really surprised me with this kind of brunch, casual, yes, but with a creativity that made it feel special.

A lovely dinner in a great atmosphere. One thing I would recommend in improving is the signage towards the restaurant from the car park. We where slightly lost in getting there. Other than that the service and food was excellent. Well done

I know this place is still new but don't be surprised if it quickly becomes one of Malta's top restaurants! The food, service, ambience, and overall ethos at the Griffin Brasserie is truly spectacular! We had food at some Michelin restaurants in Malta and the plating, presentation, and portions at the Griffin Brasserie were truly comparable! Kudos to the chef and staff for delivering to soon the game. If you're in Rabat or Mdina, definitely check this place out! Would say even worth the trip over from the tourist-crazy spots on the...
