Kalamà Restaurant in Malta absolutely earns its five-star rating! The highlights of our visit were undoubtedly the fried calamari and the grilled calamari sticks. The fried calamari was impeccably prepared - crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, truly the best we've ever had. The grilled calamari sticks, meanwhile, were a delightful surprise, the grilling process imparting a smoky flavor that added another layer of complexity to the dish.

Even though we only tried the calamari options this time around, the rest of their menu is undeniably enticing. The Grilled Octopus sandwich, blending the rich taste of octopus with dry tomatoes, stracciatella cheese, and a kick of spicy mayo, is definitely on our list for next time. The Fresh Tuna Steak sandwich, with its intriguing combination of caramelised tomato and green sweet pepper, also piqued our interest.

We couldn't help but notice the selection of fried offerings, from the solo Fried Calamari to the exciting combo of Fried Calamari & Prawns. And their Neapolitan Fish Cakes and classic Fish & Chips certainly grabbed our attention.

We were also tempted by the grilled options, with dishes such as Grilled Fresh Salmon Fillet and Grilled Swordfish Steak promising a memorable meal.

To wrap up the meal, their homemade Tiramisu is on our must-try list for our next visit - we're already anticipating the creamy, coffee-infused delight.

The best calamari fritti you’ll have in Malta, located close to Sliema promenade which is awesome, i recommend grabbing them to go and eat it away from all the traffic noise just across the street

Kalamà is hands down the best street food you can get in Sliema. We accidentally bumped into them the first time in July 2022 and have returned several times since. After the winter break they're back and food is as tasty as ever! I can't recommend anything in particular as all dishes are great, but the Gran Fritto Misto gives you a taste of every dish. The evening views of the harbour and Manoel Island with distant Valletta cityscape sipping on an Ichnusa Non Filtrata is a unique experience I'm showing to every friend and family visiting.
