Indian Flames — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Very dangerous place, our young child was accutely ill with food poisoning after eating food from Indian Flames. Doctors say it is typhoid from Salmonella! We went 3 times and asked to speak to the owner/manager. All employees refused to give out contact information and said owner was in India. No one is answering the number given for the owner "Vinay" and it is listed as someone else's number on Caller ID. Mauritian Health Authority was notified and are investigating. Stay away from this place where no one is taking responsibility as a manager or an owner for unsafe and contaminated food! Should be shut down immediately by Mauritian...

Tried the butter chicken at India Flam Grand Baie and was really disappointed — it was overly sweet, almost like sugar was added. Easily one of the worst I’ve had.

Staff behavior was unprofessional and rude. A wrong order was taken, and instead of resolving it politely, the staff member told us to leave — shocking customer service.

On the plus side, the paratha and gulab jamun were delicious, but sadly I found a hair in the syrup, which ruined the experience. Prices are steep for the quality offered.

Only pani puris and chaat are good. I order for a butter chicken and Rogan gosh, the chicken not cooked properly as if they boiled the chicken and placed it in gravy, gravy was not good and extremely sweet as if they put sugar in lieu of salt, the mutton was not good not well cooked, gravy was a wacq. I guess they don't know how to prepare roti and aloo faratas also, not good at all. We could hardly eat them. And prices were same as restaurant prices, expensive. I don't recommend...
