McDonald's — Restaurant in London

Quite frankly this is now the worst mac Donalds That I have ever come across. In 2017 I visited here and everything was as should be. However in 2018 over the same weekend I made the unpleasant choice to eat here. Gone was in the in door seating replaced with takeaway food only. The only seats now out in the cold out doors where as long as it doesn't rain you have to run the risk of pigeons' pooping all over you and your food. There are three sets of doors two exits and one to enter this been placed in the middle of the seating area so you have to fight your way in in the first place . The only good thing here is there are few people queuing at the order points mainly because the place has become a pay by card only establishment, the only concession been a couple of tills at the far end of the order pick up area which lay hidden by the depth of people waiting to pick up there orders. If like me you want your order with out something or simply pay by cash or redeem a voucher ETC then you have to fight your way through the crowds to get there. All you have to do then is wait to be spotted by one of the staff busy on the other counter handing out orders. For me it took 5 minutes for the guy in front of me it must have been a lot longer, most likely waiting until they got two or more customers, make it worth their while.like. As for collecting your order it took ten minutes before I put the watch on them. Amidst the calls from the crowd of why are we waiting it took another 5 minutes before my order number even came on to the food in preparation section, another ten minutes before it reached the top. It then disappeared for two minutes (This is when my order really was been prepared, (the in preparation section been the Mickey Mouse style queuing system). Wow! What an experience!! I can honestly say, "Hand on my heart", I will never visit this place again!! I work in the area and occasionally buy here, but after tonight, I'm sad to say I won't be anymore. The security... woah! Someone had a problem with the machine before me and I don't know what the problem was but I've used the machine, none the wiser, and when my receipt printed, the security took it whilst this other customer was complaining. When I spoke to the security and said you took my receipt, he said he didn't. Anyway, as long as I could get my food, I didn't care, but the security guy was just being ignorant to what I said. I could see my receipt in his hand, and this guy just didn't care and thought cause he had an SIA badge, he was above it.... well SIA still have obligations to follow and i felt like i wasn't treated in line with what they should be following. I dont like to be intimidated. I asked for a manager, and a sweet girl came out, and I spoke to her. She was actually really nice and genuine and seemed like she had an interest in my concern. Short while after, the manager comes out and is very dismissal and rude to me about what happened and doesn't care, has no interest in my concerns. I never complain, and my Google reviews say that. Check my history! This manager was very rude, just like the security, and i won't be buying here again. I will only leave a bad review if it's a terrible experience, and trust me... this was! The busiest McDonald's I've ever been to and the guy on the mic had said it's the busiest site in the UK and it definitely was. Came here after a concert on a Saturday night, it was busy, it was hectic but service was fast considering the amount of orders firing off everywhere from walk-ins, collection to delivery orders. Our order was lost in all of the chaos (was on the screen but it disappeared and we didn't hear it get called out) but the manager and staff sorted it out really fast. Coming from a hospitality background where I worked really busy city places, I had no issues with this place, I understand it was a stressful night and the other customers didn't help when they weren't listening out for their orders. The manager was really nice and hospitable and gave us free ice creams to compensate while we waited for our order, and the food was nice and hot when we got it. Despite the chaos, they run a very efficient and tight ship there, the staff all worked together and got orders out in record time (our local McDonald's could never lol). Anyone visiting this site on a busy night, please be respectful to the staff, and remember they are doing their best considering how busy it is, most people wouldn't be able to survive 5 minutes in there.
