M&S Simply Food — Local services in London

Very rude staff. I was at the till today 01.09.2018 at 19:14 in the shops based in ground floor. I was at the till and an employee has helped me to open a bottle of prosecco , so sad that on meantime he was doing that a woman came and asked him something. He probably was thinking that the woman was more important than me waiting at the till to pay my bill as he left the bottle at the desk and just called one of his collegue. The other colleague didn’t even understand what’s the other has told him and he has started to help others so I have told him: could you pleAse open the bottle?

He said: one sec.

Why I have been left in the middle of the service from 2 of your employees??? I left my bottle of wine and prosecco and left the shop. Very bad customer service, especially for Mark Spencer. So cheap...

If you go to this store with your own shopping bag and do the shopping using your own bag you will be treated as if you won't pay them, which is what the staff told me when I was at the till. If you wanna use your own bag you have to use their basket first and then your bag and this way you won't be considered as a thief which is again what the staff told me when I used my bag. Very poor in store management from Marks and Spencer who has at least 10 cameras pointed on your face during shopping anyway. I always use my own bags wherever I go shopping to reduce plastic use and I never heard something like...

Staff are quite unfriendly and needs retraining. One of them was acting as security, standing by the doorway and as I was leaving he was eyeing me up because I didn't buy anything and I was holding a tote bag. I couldn't find what I was looking for as it is a small M&S, so I left. As I was leaving this staff member and I locked eyes and he wouldn't stop watching me. As a customer that was the most uncomfortable feeling. A solution would've been to greet me and ask if he could help with anything? Worst kind of attitude to be looked at as if I'm a deviant....
