Excellent Staff & Drinks, but Management's Discriminatory Actions Ruined Everything – MEN, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!
I'm writing this review with a heavy heart because parts of my experience at this nightclub were genuinely positive. While this listing is specifically for Seis Uno Dos Rooftop Bar, it's crucial to understand that this venue operates as two connected sections (Seis Uno Dos Rooftop Bar and Uno Bar) under the same management, with one cover granting access to both. My unfortunate experience, which reflects on the entire establishment, was deeply troubling.
The staff was absolutely phenomenal, especially the hostess – truly the best I've ever encountered at any venue. They were welcoming, efficient, and made a great first impression. The drinks were also surprisingly good and well-made, which is often a hit or miss at nightclubs.
The design is also unique; this place is divided into two distinct sections. The main section is The Seis Uno Dos Rooftop Bar, which is perfect for enjoying the sunset and transitions into a vibrant party environment at night. The other section is The Uno Bar, conveniently located on the second floor, directly beneath the Rooftop Bar. This indoor space offers a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, characterized by its great design and excellent service in general.
However, despite these strong positives, my night was completely and utterly ruined by the management's overprotective approach to women's safety, which unfortunately manifests as very discriminatory behavior towards men. It became clear that management operates with an extreme bias, quick to misinterpret normal interactions as 'creepy' without proper investigation or reason.
My experience culminated in a shocking and deeply disrespectful incident. Management completely misunderstood a benign behavior on my part, jumped to conclusions, and, without any attempt at a calm conversation or clarification, called the police to have me forcibly removed from the premises. The way I was treated was incredibly rude, demeaning, and utterly uncalled for. It was a public humiliation based on a false premise.
This incident made it unequivocally clear that this nightclub is not a safe or welcoming environment for men. While I understand efforts to protect women, this establishment's approach is heavy-handed, unjust, and leads to blatant discrimination. It's a shame that such good staff and drinks are overshadowed by a management philosophy that creates such a hostile atmosphere for a significant portion of its clientele.
I left feeling degraded, indignant, and completely ripped off. I would have easily given this place at least four stars if it wasn't for this negative incident. Despite the good drinks, exceptional staff, and an amazing hostess, the profound injustice and public humiliation of being unfairly removed completely overshadowed any positive aspects. This single, deeply negative and unfair incident irrevocably ruined the entire experience, leaving me no choice but to give this establishment one star.
Men, be warned: this establishment’s severe management bias means you risk unfair targeting, poor treatment and humiliation simply for being male. In their attempt to make this a safe place for ladies, the management believe it has the right to treat gentlemen as second-class people, making it unequivocally not a safe or welcoming environment for men. I strongly advise exploring other excellent rooftop bars in the city where fair treatment and respect are a given, and I encourage you to explore...

Review: Well, well, well... where do I begin? Let's start with the positives. The waitresses at this rooftop bar were quite lovely, I must admit. And yes, the view was undeniably pretty, but hey, we're not here for just the aesthetics, right?
Now, let's talk about the drinks. I ordered a Negroni, hoping for a delightful blend of flavors, but what I got was essentially bad gin wearing a splash of coloring. It tasted like someone dropped a bottle of cheap gin into my glass and called it a day. As for the aperol, well, it reminded me of bubble gum water, minus the bubble gum flavor and alcohol content. Zero alcohol? Really?
Needless to say, my taste buds felt personally victimized. It's such a shame because a good cocktail can be a work of art, but these drinks were an unfortunate mess.
In the end, if you're in the mood for a nice view and friendly service, go ahead and visit this place. But if you actually want to enjoy your drink, I'd strongly advise you to...
Read moreSlightly on the pricey side and cocktails are served in tumblers, but it was tasty. However, I give it a 5 star as it is a really nice setting. You sit out in the open overlooking the ocean, beach and of course a beautiful sunset with hints of mist cooling you down. They have nice upbeat music played by a DJ; and the nice thing is, the music is loud, but you can still hear each other very well. The servers were all very friendly and delivered good service. You have to make a reservation though, so be prepared on that. It is on the malecon and definitely a place to treat yourself at. I also ordered a cappuccino and it...
