The Bistro — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

We had mixed feelings about our experience at the Bistro. While the food was good, we had two significant issues that affected our overall enjoyment. Firstly, my wife found plastic in her oatmeal, which was concerning. However, we must commend the staff for handling the situation very well and apologizing profusely. Our main issue was with the aggressive timeshare salesperson named Blanca, who interrupted our meals multiple times. It was evident that the restaurant signaled the salesperson when we were there, which was very off-putting. We found Blanca rude and pushy, and despite our requests to leave us alone, she persisted in her sales pitch. It was an uncomfortable experience that ruined our meals at the Bistro. Due to this, we cannot rate the restaurant higher than two stars, despite the positive handling of the plastic incident. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a peaceful meal without the constant intrusion of salespeople.

Tuvimos sentimientos encontrados sobre nuestra experiencia en el Bistro. Si bien la comida era buena, tuvimos dos problemas significativos que afectaron nuestro disfrute general. En primer lugar, mi esposa encontró plástico en su avena, lo cual fue preocupante. Sin embargo, debemos elogiar al personal por manejar la situación muy bien y disculparse profusamente. Nuestro problema principal fue con la agresiva vendedora de tiempo compartido llamada Blanca, que interrumpió nuestras comidas varias veces. Era evidente que el restaurante señalaba a la vendedora cuando estábamos allí, lo que fue muy desalentador. Encontramos a Blanca grosera y insistente, y a pesar de nuestras solicitudes de que nos dejara solos, persistió en su argumento de venta. Fue una experiencia incómoda que arruinó nuestras comidas en el Bistro. Debido a esto, no podemos calificar el restaurante más de dos estrellas, a pesar del manejo positivo del incidente del plástico. Service was poor. Our waiter only came around three or four times. I ordered nachos for our table as an appetizer but they just never came. I also order a club wrap, and they gave me the wrong main dish. I would have loved to send it back, but our waiter was no where to be found. I thought that maybe there were a lot of people that night, but when I looked around the restaurant was almost empty! I also order a drink that also never came. Terrible terrible service! Waited 30 mins before even spoken to by a waiter, and one that we had to approach at which point they struggled to get us the menus. Waited 1 hour for appetizers from sitting down and 1.5 hours for main course. The food is not worth the wait and you would be better off with a microwave quesadilla. I really wish I could say something better. Honestly embarrassing. Of course this could have been a bad day but regardless service...
