This was my favorite restaurant during my stay. The spicy Ramen was TO DIE for. I could have eaten nothing but that the whole trip. I highly recommend the sea bass, green beans, Mongolian beef and honey shrimp. The staff will bring you appetizers, too (tempura, gyozas, calamari and spring rolls). I'm not sure if this is given automatically or if you have to ask for it. The portion sizes run on the smaller side, so you can easily get a couple of different options. The only thing I didn't much care for was my pad thai, but everything else was phenomenal!
The service was decent and the atmosphere is semi-romantic (the lighting inside is dim, fair warning). The patio is nice, too, but doesn't accommodate parties larger than 4. Also, they wouldn't seat our party until everyone was present, which was a little annoying, but Tazuna was the same way.
Fair warning, there is a chapel literally right next to the Zao Shen entrance. My husband accidentally burst into a quincianera, thinking he was going to Zao Shen, so just make sure to enter through the doors on the RIGHT,...
Read moreDuring my stay at the all-inclusive Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, I had an exceptional dining experience at Zao Shen, thanks in large part to our wonderful waiter, Ivan. His attentive service made our evening truly special. He went above and beyond, even helping us with custom drink orders – my boyfriend’s special drink and my custom Cuba libre with Coke Zero and Malibu coconut rum were delightful complements to our meal.
The food at Zao Shen was included under the all-inclusive menu and did not disappoint. The Pad Thai Noodles were a unique Mexican twist on a classic dish, with a refreshing lemon and cilantro flavor that stood out.
The bao buns were a hit, especially the Crispy Pork Bao Buns, which were sweet and perfectly balanced. Both the pork and chicken bao buns were of the gua bao variety, reminiscent of fluffy tacos, and were thoroughly enjoyable.
Overall, the combination of delicious food and excellent service made for a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning to Zao Shen to enjoy more of their...
Read moreWe had an absolutely beautiful time dining at this resort with our 3 x little kids as part of our all inclusive stay at Poblo Bunito Sunset. The hostess Sofia was very hospitable and accomodated ALL our requests. One of the balcony gas heater was out of gas, she made sure it was replaced so we could feel warmer dining on the balcony. Additionally, she greeted us so warmly, with a big smile on her face and was very very friendly in her dealing with us. The waiter Ivan was also so good in making sure our order was made to perfection and moreover he accomodated so much of our special requests. For e.g., we ordered baby corn seperately for our daughter and we wanted noodles for kids without any vegetables and meat, and Ivan provided that as well. In summary, it was amongst our very memorable dining experiences and my whole family shared the same sentiment. Highly...
