Birria "El Moreno" — Restaurant in Baja California

Our dentist was nearby, and we decided to try it out. The meal started off great. One of the ladies spoke perfect English and we ended up getting 4 tacos and 5 quesa tacos + 2 sodas.

When it was time to pay, she said our total was $45 usd. It surprised me as that’s more than what we would even pay in San Diego. I asked what were the prices. She said 45 pesos for tacos and drinks and 80 pesos for quesa tacos. I showed her my phone because I got 670 pesos for that which should be about $35 usd rounded up. She used her calculator again and said, fine $42 dollars and suddenly she said quesa tacos were 90 pesos, not 80. Even then it didn’t add up… we were pretty satisfied with the food and service up to this point, and we were going to tip her pretty well until this point. We just considered $10 up charge she did was her tip and just left. Would we ever come back? NEVER!

We travel often and absolutely hate when people take advantage of foreigners. We felt uncomfortable and paid whatever this time but have no respect for business when something like this happens. Be aware if you dont...

These are some of the most badass tacos I've ever ate, I'm from Texas but I fell i love with these tacos, and I just can't replicate them any where here at home. The service is awesome and friendly, if ever in Tijuana and in this part of town, get you some and order to take home...

We spotted this place after checking out of our hotel. I'm so glad we stopped! Birria and consomme hit the spot... along with extras, they gave! Super friendly and amazing customer service. Multiple people checked to make sure we were satisfied. Which we definitely walked...
