I have a mixed feeling about this place, in short, Odayaka did not meet my expectation.

I visited this restaurant on a Tue night, I was a bit turned off by the valet, pretty much the entire available parking area was fenced off as valet only, I ended up asked the attendant for an empty space near the entrance and parked myself. I did tipped the valet very well nonetheless.

The dining was separated by 3 themed areas, I really liked the ambience! We were seated promptly upon arrival.

The wait staff were mostly young and not very attentive, I ordered a small carafe of sake, (I was not offered a selection, kind of odd since this place has a fully stocked bar) and the sake I ordered was clearly heated by microwave, half of the alcohol was gone by the time it reached my table..

Sorry for ranting here, I will try to stay objective, I ordered mixed sashimi (24pcs), blue fin tuna hand roll, poke bowl, mixed tempura and a roll, the highlight was the mix tempura, although the batter was way too thick, to the point that you can't tell what's inside the tempura, it actually tasted good.. $30 for the sashimi, not worth it, (I wasn't even offered Wasabi and ginger, I had to ask!).. hand rolls were not wrapped well, the cucumber slices were cut so thick.. not worth it.. poke bowl, full of surimi (imitation crab meat) and a big bowl of white rice and bottom, not good.. And finally the roll, its not bad, but definitely not made with good sushi rice, it's just rolled with white rice..

Pricing of the menu is somewhat over priced IMHO. Better value, quality of food and service can be had elsewhere in Tijuana if you are in the...

Im really trying to find decent sushi restaurant in Tijuana. I’ve been everywhere, but after this one, I will definitely keep my search going.

We made reservations for 10pm, got here around 9:45. The open floor plan is large, bright, with many tables, and high ceilings. Very awkward for a dinner setting. Music was blaring loud, with only about 10 people in the restaurant.

As soon as we sat down, I asked to move because the music was driving me crazy, so we went to the patio with a heat lamp.

Again, we sit down. The waitress comes over to us and tells us the kitchen closes in a few minutes and we need to order fast. Very strange to make a reservation and show up 15 minutes early to be told to order quickly.

We ordered 6-7 rolls, sashimi, and some appetizers as well as sake and beer.

All the rolls sounded interesting, raspberry, strawberry, banana, and some of the more traditional. Unfortunately, the food was not great.

Rice tasted very old. Sashimi seemed very rushed, because the pieces were very large. Rolls were overpowering from too sweet...

Odayaka is a sushi restaurant where you can go to eat with your loved ones, it has a menu with a variety and a cozy atmosphere. Firstly starting with the food I give it a 4.5/5, I ordered a sushi roll called “Todos Santos”, the ingredients were shrimp tempura, crab, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado with a topping of crunchy tempura and with sauce of spicy mayo and eel sauce. When I got there I was thinking “I might like the food.” and the taste did not disappointed, the mix of the flavors was unique, but personally I didn't like the crunchy tempura, the relation price-portions I found it good because I didn't finished the roll. The service was excellent they were helpful and always looked for us been comfortable so I thought the staff must be nice. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, I will definitely come...

Food: presentation was really nice. We got pirate roll, anniversary roll, no rice (forgot the name) roll and fried octopus. Our favorite was anniversary roll. The flavor was on point, and it was delicious. Fried octopus was crunchy - a bit too crunchy for us. And salty. We got strawberry lemonade and pineapple juice. They arr both delish. Overall, the atmosphere felt inviting. The servers are attentive. We didnt speak Spanish well, but they worked with us. Parking: we found parking on the street, but they have valet parking. And it seemed that they validate the parking because they asked for our parking ticket before we left the restaurant.
