We travel extensively for work and stay all over North America trying the highest rated bars and restaurants we can find. We stayed nearby and wandered in one night for cocktails. The bartender and cocktails were on point, world class. Seriously, the woman should own her own bar, one of the best I have ever had the pleasure watching at a bar. The drinks were perfectly balanced and her passion was so obvious and infectious. Cannot say enough good things.

The following day, after being so impressed by the bartender, we decided we should try the food because it would be a real treat if it was half as good as the cocktails. Sadly our bartender was not working, the cocktails were fine but not nearly as balanced or consistent. It was fine, but disappointing after the previous day.

We ordered guacamole and asparagus to start. Both were good, but also not complicated dishes and nobody was reinventing the wheel. Then came the main entree. I ordered the ribeye with mole sauce. The mole was great, but the absolute worst steak I have had in the last year, overcooked from how I ordered it and a terrible cheap cut of meat. I told the waiter and he basically said "That's too bad" and took it away. No replacement offered, nothing. Then came the Octopus ceviche, the octopus was just absolutely rancid. Inedible. I literally spit it out neither of us would eat a single bite. Similar reaction from the waiter. The check comes out and we are charged full price for everything. We hardly touched those two entrees. Just glad the appetizers are fine so we didn't leave starving. I would not trust eating the food from this place.

Go in for a cocktail, but don't expect the food to compare. If there is a woman bartending, you seriously are in for a real treat. She was the shining star of this establishment and worth the visit to the city let alone...

Terrible restaurant!!! If I could give it 0 stars I definitely would. Went in for lunch. It was very slow, maybe two tables had people eating. We ordered agua de Horchata and hot chocolate. We also ordered 2 plates of pollo con mole. To start off they took at least 30 min to take our food out to our table( mind you the restaurant was basically empty). When our food arrived and I took a bite of the chicken it was super cold, like if it had just been taken out of the fridge and they just poured cold mole on it. Had to wait about 5 min for a waiter to acknowledge me, I called him to our table. I let him know the issue. He took my plate back to the kitchen. They took more than 20 min and my plate could not come out of the kitchen. My husband's food was lukewarm and the rice super salty. The tortillas were also cold and practically falling apart. When my husband was halfway through his mole (because he couldn't eat the rice because of how salty it was) I ended up getting up from my seat and walked to our waiter to let him know that we were leaving already and will no longer be needing my food. When he bought our bill he had the nerve to ask if we wanted to add a tip to our bill. My husband was paying and gave him a $50.00 pesos tip and he seemed to be unhappy about it. Honestly, I would have left no tip at all. Not only was the service bad, the food was horrible. I will definitely never be coming back and would not recommend this...

If you're looking for a culinary adventure in Tijuana, Piedra Santa Restaurant is the place to be. Located on Avenida Revolucion 1106, this spot beautifully combines the ancestral cuisines of Oaxaca with the innovative flavors of Baja Med. Chef David Alarcón's passion for food shines through in every dish, and the variety of seafood options is simply outstanding.

One of the highlights for me is their unique blend of Oaxacan and Baja Med cuisine. The menu is packed with delicious dishes, including fresh guacamole, flavorful tuna, and mouthwatering flans. The carrot spread appetizer is a must-try, and the seafood options are always fresh and delicious.

The mixology at Piedra Santa is another standout. Their cocktails are crafted with care and creativity, making every sip a delight. Plus, the service is top-notch. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in.

The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with homey decor that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying the beautiful views of the city, especially the stunning Revolucion Arch. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great place to enjoy a meal, Piedra Santa Restaurant is definitely...

Monday evening around 7 PM, I was just walking about downtown and saw this restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and shown quickly to a table. For the whole restaurant, there were 4 tables occupied out of over 20. Ordered a few dishes: cream of pumpkin soup, clam chowder soup, a tuna tostada, and pork ribs bathed in molé. The service time was terrible. Other than the initial orders the waiter was nowhere to be seen. Even water was charged for, and by the time the soups got to us over fifteen minutes later in their breadbowls, the soups were lukewarm and soaked into the bread. The cheese in the soup was already starting to solidify. The pumpkin soup tasted like liquid pumpkin pie, overly sweet and thick. The clay chowder was passable but overly thick. The breadbowls were pretty lackluster and had a soggy, spongy texture. When the single solitary tuna tostada came with the molé ribs I was more than a little irked to find the ribs were not only basically four vertebrae with over 50% of the meat being congealed opaque fat but were also very cold, at best room temperature. This was returned and removed from my bill. The tuna tostada was edible, but the overly heavy combination of cheap soy sauce, spicy Sriracha mayo, and citrusy (ponzu?) dressing was just too much and far overpowered the taste of the raw tuna. For about 120 pesos, I would have expected more than just one and a better balance of flavors. Overall, the damage came to about 600 pesos. I can not recommend this place at all. There were attempts at luxury and the dishes aims towards higher end palates, but it all ultimately falls flat.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when ready for lunch and it was the perfect spot. Atmosphere was adorable, servers were super nice and attentive and the food was very good. Food is regionally Oaxaca-style and so is the decor. Fresh made cocktails with lots of detail and attention. We even got some alcohol free version of some of the same drinks since we were driving and those were equally delicious. Tuna tostada and the fresh fish of the day were also a hit. Don’t miss the table-side guacamole. Not just a show, but also very fresh and delicious.
