Ah, the infamous Tacos El Franc, now if you’ve done any research about what to do in Tijuana, this spot is going to pop up pretty consistently. It’s just that good, I’m not normally a fiend for tacos, but being able to get a bar seat and watching the taco baristas thoroughly warm up each tortilla, grabbing the spit meat right off and spooning in each accompaniment all while working interchangeably in a team kitchen. The level of teamwork is commendable, not to mention how awesome it is to finally take a bite out of that sweet taco that just went through the assembly line. Fresh, table side show. Immaculate. Green sauce and red sauce are off to the side so be sure you go get some and douse your taco with some extra flavour. Would recommend, and will totally be back! The hype is totally real.

So glad we found this place at my friend's insistence and diligent reading of everyone's reviews 😏 amazing tacos. They're loaded, they're cheap, and they hit the spot. My friend got four and liked the tripe the most. I am veg so got the fully vegetarian ones. They loaded on the aguacate and the salsa was dope. I will say, they're known for their asada and meat so... Take that into account! Agree re: others' comments desiring beer, but then people would def linger and they clearly have a LOT of tables to turn. With that said, the server kept coming back - desean algo mas chicos? - and asked maybe 5 or 6 times if we wanted anything else, so felt a bit rushed - but hey, can't knock them for wanting to continue filling others' bellies with great tacos!

Tacos El Franc is my favorite taco stand in TJ. I only order the carne asada tacos... I have tried others but none are as good & flavorful as the asada. The meat is tender, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The taco is served with beans (yes... really delicious beans) onions, cilantro, avocado and salsa. In my opinion, a great taco has to have a great tortilla ...The tortillas are freshly made, not too thick or too thin... perfect for the amount of food. The staff are nice, polite and attentive. Pack your patience, there is usually a line especially when they first open or around dinner time....But the line goes fast. Be prepared to enjoy your tacos, do some people watching and plan a trip back.

I fell in love with Francs tacos after my 1st visit. I refuse to eat tacoa states side bc it's not like Francs. Their tacos are loaded w/everything!The staff are very friendly and the food is always fresh. It would be great if they sell adult drinks, but I can walk across the street to the Xoxo, so no pasa nada. I recommend everyone to try their tacos. I only eat carne asada bc I don't eat pork. Would love if they added fish, shrimp, or chicken tacos to their menu, but either way, I'm always satisfied. Anyone that come visits me, I take there and they fall in love too and can't wait to come back to eat TJ tacos at Francs. I even learned to drive across the border bc of Francs tacos 🙂
