Food was ok, nothing to write home about. We had Carne azada tacos, lengua mulita and cabeza tacos. Carne azada tacos were ok some of the meat was a little tough but it was good. My dad ordered the lengua mulita and said it was horrible, (he's a chef at a Mexican restaurant), my husband had the Cabeza tacos and said that he couldn't taste the meat since they put so much hot sauce. The service was horrible, like really bad. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated which was ok since we were told these were the best tacos in all of tj. Once we sat down the waiter came and asked what we wanted. No greeting no nothing just "que quieren". We always order for our son which were 2 plain Carne azada tacos. My husband ordered than me and finally my dad. This guy just said " ya es todo" We than asked what they had to drink and he just pointed to the Aguas frescas and said y soda. I asked for a Coke and just looked passed me and said Pepsi. I was like "no tienes coka?" He just said "pepsi" y said ok that's fine. He walked away and a couple who was behind us sat down. They got their tacos and soda before we even got out drinks. They obviously knew the cook cuz they got 10 tacos and 2 drink refills before we got our pepsi's. Once we got our order we asked the waiter for more tacos and another soda he litteraly walked away and started counting his tips. He didn't care that we were waiting for over 10 minutes for our food to begin with and just chilled. He only came back when he had our food and walked away. Horrible service. When we were ready to leave he was nowhere to be found. We stood up to look for him and he was talking to his coworkers which is cool of you don't care for the customers but we were ready to go. He said if he wanted the check and we said yes. He than walked to the register and added up with a calculator that they have there. Stopped at the Aguas frescas and got himself a drink. By this time we were super pissed and just walked up to him. He gave me check and I didn't even look at it. I went up to the counter to pay in dollars and the guy said it was $32 US dollars. I did some quick math while i waited and it was $28 something. I used his calculator and I was right. $505 pesos at 17.50 a dollar was $28.86. At this point we were done waiting and just wanted to leave. I paid the man the $32 USD Went to the bathroom and left. This is the first and last time we go here. We just stopped here cuz everyone says that this is the spot to eat the best tacos but they are wrong....

Read moreMy family and I arrived at 3:30 on a Wednesday and decided to wait in their parking lot until they opened. At about 3:50 I noticed people were already sitting down so we decided to go grab a table. I am very glad we did because by 4:10 there were no more seats ops and a line outside the restaurant. Parking looks to be limited as well. so arriving early was a good idea.
I wasn't quite sure how you order at this taco shop, but then a nice gentlemen came to us to take our order. We were then brought a bowl of radishes and plates of cucumbers and limes. We ordered 4 adobada and 2 suadero with drinks. A few minutes later our food was brought to our table. First the suadero then the adobada. I had never heard of suadero until a co-worker told me about Tacos El Franc and said when I came here I had to order the suadero. I am so glad he told me about it. The taco was amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful. The salsa and the toppings paired perfectly with this taco. Next the adobada. The adobada was wonderful. It was so flavorful and lightly crisped. The guacamole of top was wonderful. Well I wanted more tacos after this so we ordered another suadero and an asada. The asada was one of the best asada tacos I've ever had. What made it truly wonderful was the homemade corn tortilla. This was the only taco we ordered that had the freshly made tortilla and it really made that taco perfect. For my son we ordered a cheese quesadilla. This was also on a freshly made corn tortilla and was loaded with cheese.
I am absolutely in love with these tacos. They were some of the best I've had so far and I look forward to...
