So good I have to write my review and let my stomach take a rest. I grew up in Italy, and have a hobby of trying Italian food wherever I go to see how it's different than where I lived. Textures here were a bit different than my Gaetano experience, but wow, do I love how they treated the food here. The chicken in my fettuccini was grilled to perfection, and so tender I didn't need a knife. Table wine had a great, full flavor, and complimented everything (yes, even though dark wine and white meat. I'm an American heathen) caprese had a really interesting twist with giant tomatoes, also sprinkled with oregano, and yes, effing tasty. Bruschetta I saved for last. This was the most different from how I had it growing up. Tomatoes, basil, olive oil on toasted bread, back home, just that. This one has Parmigiano and garlic toasted into the bread, and the bread is less crunchy, but fluffy, and I love it.

Overall, one of my favorite takes on Italian food outside Italia.

note I know food varies widely in a short distance in Italy, and I may, in fact, be eating something that is exactly like what someone else grew up eating a block away from where I lived. This is also based on food and smell memory that is 20+ years old. This is just an opinion of a fan of all kinds of food.
