So good I have to write my review and let my stomach take a rest. I grew up in Italy, and have a hobby of trying Italian food wherever I go to see how it's different than where I lived. Textures here were a bit different than my Gaetano experience, but wow, do I love how they treated the food here. The chicken in my fettuccini was grilled to perfection, and so tender I didn't need a knife. Table wine had a great, full flavor, and complimented everything (yes, even though dark wine and white meat. I'm an American heathen) caprese had a really interesting twist with giant tomatoes, also sprinkled with oregano, and yes, effing tasty. Bruschetta I saved for last. This was the most different from how I had it growing up. Tomatoes, basil, olive oil on toasted bread, back home, just that. This one has Parmigiano and garlic toasted into the bread, and the bread is less crunchy, but fluffy, and I love it.
Overall, one of my favorite takes on Italian food outside Italia.
note I know food varies widely in a short distance in Italy, and I may, in fact, be eating something that is exactly like what someone else grew up eating a block away from where I lived. This is also based on food and smell memory that is 20+ years old. This is just an opinion of a fan of all...
Read moreDefinitely never coming back!!!! This place just has the worst customer service. There where a lot of unpleasure encounters with the waiters. One of them been that they rudely asked for their tip and after giving them my reasons they got this offensive attitude instead of apologizing for their previous rude behaviors. They ended up over charging my bill at the end they managed to include a high percent of tip. Secondly , they have this valet service or if you don’t leave your keys they simply start parking other cars behind yours so when I was leaving I had one of their customers cars behind mine and when I asked the manager if they can please remove the car he rudely declined and said to manage it on my own. That is something as a customer shouldn’t have to be dealing with having to look around for the owners car. They really put me in an embarrassing situation. Food is not even good nor authentic, there are plenty more of Italian...
Read moreAlrighty, most of you should know by now this place and its reputation, after all, I hear it's been around for quite some time now.
Here are some observations: The food is delicious, everything. Sangria is especially good! Their garlic bread is simply the best I've tasted. The staff, although nice, is far too busy to be attentive or even maybe make small talk (not that I am the social talkative person, but service is service) It is a bit crowded. The space between tables may be a bit uncomfortable to navigate should you need to use the restroom or something. They don't have parking, just solve that on your own or be stuck in their silly parking area. The restroom is rather small and uncomfortable. They hold up to 40 people at once, and their (men's) restroom isn't fit for more than 2 people at once.
I am sorry I didn't take any...
