Aldo's — Restaurant in Cancún

Visiting from Texas. We were craving some ice cream while we waited for the new Spiderman movie to start. They were pretty busy which was fine.

My sister and I ordered the bubble waffles with our selected gelato flavors. I got the chocolate one with Kinder Bueno and she got the rainbow bubble waffle that had marshmallows. There was a few orders of bubble waffle before us, but the cashier promised only a few minutes wait... he actually said 5 minutes wait. I knew that it would be longer than that, but we ended up waiting over 30 minutes!

They even messed up my sister's order and made the berry waffle instead so we gave it back to get the proper toppings. They also tried to give me mine 10-15minutes after giving my sister her order which doesn't make sense because our orders were put in at the same time. The main problem was they were NOT making the orders in the order they were received and I saw them trying to make other orders that came in after mine.

We decided to refund my order instead since they would not allow the food into the movie theater. The total wait was about 40 minutes which is terrible just for ice cream. I will only come here when it is not busy or if I am just ordering something more simple. Time management and customer care must...

I'm NOT an ice cream person. I find most ice creams too sweet, and generally throw a scoop away after one bite. The prominent flavor tends to be SUGAR. At Aldo's I ordered TWO flavors because I couldnt decide between the two delicious flavors, and I ate BOTH scoops. Best ice cream I've had in a long time. I had the vegan date banana and the Belgian chocolate. The banana and the chocolate flavors were front and center and the sugar just made them pop. Thank goodness we dont have this stuff in the US or I would be eating it...

This is the best gelato I've had in a long time! My taste buds were dancing. It is super clean, perfect location within the mall with seating just out front. They have the tastiest richest flavors; I tasted a few. They were friendly and the pricing was surprisingly reasonable. It was so tasty that I went back and got seconds right before I left....
