Alebris bar — Restaurant in Cancún

Met up with a group here. Our friends who got there first were able to order some drinks that were OK. They got us all seated and then never came back to take orders from the rest of us. Eventually they told us that the table they had sat us at was reserved and moved us to a table that was significantly too small for our group, we couldn't even get enough chairs around the tables for all of our people. We waited some more, and still they never came to take an order while generally avoiding our attempts to hail them. They had 3 servers, only 1 of which appeared to be doing anything (the youngest, who looked like a teenager), the rest just stood around at the bar with their backs to us.

Eventually we just left as it was clear they didn't want our business.

The atmosphere was meh at best, just a very generic beach bar that wasn't clean. No music and really nothing there other than the view of the ocean to make...

Scam Hustle Shakedown !!! Bar staff tell you the Ultramar ferry boat which is accessed through the bar is fully booked then guide you into their bar where they have you wear a shocking looking sombrero as they take your picture and ask you to buy their drinks for an hour while you wait for the next boat. The boat is never full it's a scam. Ultramar staff in the office are part of this scam also as this all happened within their office and they agreed the boat was full. They also say that you can not buy a ticket until the boat has left, this is so the ticket records make sense for their computer and employers records. i.e. why would everyone buy a ticket and always miss their boat even through their is always free seats!...

If you're not going to let your customers use credit cards so you can pocket the money you steal off of them, you should at least have that posted at the door, or tell your customers prior to them ordering. Most people don't carry cash around when their going on vacation or to the beach. What if I didn't have any money in my bank account to walk across to the Chedraui after I sat there and ate my food and had drinks. How would you have handled that situation? The women cashier was to lazy to use the credit card machine for me, or is also pocketing money. $100 dollars for a burger, tacos, guacamole, and a couple of drinks? I hope the owner checks into that bill and makes sure he gets the money. Also the waiter should be very grateful that I still even gave him a tip after all of the hassle. Sad thing is that we're locals, and because of that experience we won't be bringing friends or family there and we also won't be returning ourselves. Go elsewhere! I'm going to report this to Profeco.

Si no va a permitir que sus clientes usen tarjetas de crédito para que pueda embolsarse el dinero que les roba, al menos debe tenerlo publicado en la puerta o informar a sus clientes antes de que ordenen. La mayoría de la gente no lleva dinero en efectivo cuando se va de vacaciones o a la playa. ¿Qué pasaría si no tuviera dinero en mi cuenta bancaria para caminar hasta el Chedraui después de sentarme allí y comer y beber? ¿Cómo hubieras manejado esa situación? La cajera fue demasiado perezosa para usar la máquina de tarjetas de crédito para mí, o también se está embolsando dinero. $100 dollares por una hamburguesa, tacos, guacamole y un par de tragos? Espero que el propietario verifique esa factura y se asegure de recibir el dinero. Además, el mesero debería estar muy agradecido de que aún le di una propina después de todo el lío. Lo triste es que somos locales vivimos aqui, y debido a esa experiencia no traeremos amigos o familiares allí y tampoco regresaremos nosotros mismos. ¡Vete a otra parte! Voy a reportar...
