We had an amazing dinner at the Polynesian grill.
Food: 5 stars We started with Big Eye Ahi Poke as an appetizer. The tuna was cubed and was just the right firm consistency. The hapa rice provided a nice change in texture.
The bread was served warm with asiago cheese crusted on top, I can't remember exactly what the butter was but I think it had garlic and chives in it. (I'm not a bread person but I did take a bite).
For dinner, I had the macadamia nut crusted Chilean seabass. I hadn't had Chilean seabass in years and it was cooked perfectly. The fish was firm but still flakey and the macadamia and white asparagus complimented the dish perfectly.
My spouse has the Szechuan Baby Back Ribs. They were completely fall off the bone and they were all eaten with a knife and fork very easily. The dish was served with a very generous (I was jealous) portion of roasted vegetables and sweet potatoe puree. The sweet potatoe puree was definitely very pureed as someone who enjoys a little more texture they were still delicious and named correctly however it reminded me a little of baby food.
Drinks: 4 stars My spouses started with the signature Mai Tai but found it lacked the alcohol content she was looking for. It was served in an absolutely beautiful tiki mug which we got the typical bougee (IG) photo with. About half way through she gave up and I finished the drink for her. This was my 2nd drink of the day and I couldn't taste the alcohol but finished it anyway.
I ordered a Grey Goose Martini with olives. It was served in a beautiful martini glass with 5 small olives. It was shaken well and was perfect for what I needed.
After my spouse decided she was done with the Mai Tai, she ordered a Cosmopolitan. It was exactly what she was craving, served in a beautiful martini glass with a nice pink hue. I had a sip and it was poured well. She ended up ordering another during dinner.
Service: 5 stars The service by Efron was just superb. He took multiple photos for us and even gathered all the different tiki mugs for us and let us get an extremely memorable photo. He asked what our occasion was and we told him we were on our honeymoon. Even though we declined dessert, he brought out a chocolate mousse dessert with a sparkler and had a special song play for us. We were both very surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail. He really helped make the night special and I would highly recommend requesting him for your dinner.
Show: 5 stars After reading reviews I knew there would be some sort of show. The Polynesian dancers were amazing!!!! They started at 7pm and it lasted 3-5 minutes and I think they performed every 30 minutes. We were able to watch 3 different performances and...
Read moreWe were in this restaurant before Marriott renovation to all inclusive and food and service were excellent. We even came back 3 nights in a row as it was so great. This time it was an opposite experience not in a good way. We’ve ordered shrimp, fish soup as a starter. Soup was served cold and there were 3 shrimp with a little corn which wasn’t impressive. For the main course was ordered chicken tenders with fries, sea bass and chicken. Chicken tenders were burnt, sea bass overcooked and chicken was pink - totally not eatable. When we returned the food, waiter got us a full bill including all we’ve returned. After talking to the manager who clearly tried to escape us, they still charged us for beer and starter. Clearly not a great experience especially after we’ve said that going to celebrate our special wedding anniversary. Wouldn’t recommend going to this restaurant as a non inclusive guest. Overpriced with zero quality food...
Read moreDinner at Hana is not just a meal it’s a whole extraordinary experience. The first thing you notice about this restaurant is the beautiful atmosphere and decor. The service was phenomenal and they make sure you are really well taken care of. The menu caters to all tastes. My servers helped choose my appetizer, main dish, and dessert which were all great! The food presentation were all a piece of art and the taste was just perfect. There was nothing I could complain about except that I could not come back to try the other menu options.
Hana also served the main breakfast buffet for the Marriott resort which is priced around 25$ per person. They had a decent selection of breakfast items plus special dishes every day. Definitely a great buffet to give you a head start for the day but it can’t be compared to the...
