We checked into the Grand fiesta Americana Coral Beach and headed straight to La Joya restaurant for dinne. We were here about 8 month go and we had the exact same warm welcome this time from the hosts and met some of out favorite wait staff on the way in. We love the whole feel of this restaurant - the lighting, the paper leaf and pink flower trees with lights, soft mariachi music, Spanish opera-esque singer and projected animations on the wall. The food was delicious as always and very filling - you always get freshly made chips and salsa, a variety of breads and different flavored butters complimentary. I discovered the Mole sauce last year here and have loved it ever since. They have an excellent vegetarian menu as well. Our wait staff were Gerardo, Mariano and Diego and they were very gracious and friendly and took care of the family. I especially remember Mariano from the last time as well and he is always smiling, gracious and in a good mood. The cocktails were very well made - ordered the La Joya and Reggae. The kids and the whole family love the food, ambience, atmosphere and people....I just get this nice feeling being there that I don't get in other restaurants. You never feel rushed and get the time to soak in the whole experience. The Grand Fiesta American resort is fantastic as well which I covered in a different review. #MyCoralBeach,...
Read moreWOW! We went to La Joya on a whim, expecting a typical mid-range sit-down restaurant. We were blown away by the attentive service, incredible food, live music, and affordable price. This is definitely a meal we'll remember for the rest of our lives.
The staff are incredibly kind and thoughtful. I'm OK at Spanish and wanted to practice, and every server indulged me with polite conversation and translated everything for my fiancee. They were gracious and unobtrusive, while also ensuring we had a great meal.
The food was amazing! From the most delicious fresh guacamole to delicate dinner rolls to perfectly seasoned pork, we both loved everything we ate. We're hardly food connoisseurs - if you're expecting world-class (as some reviewers seem to be?), I have no idea if this will live up to that ideal. But for us normal humans, it was above and beyond!
The mariachi band was also a delightful surprise. They serenaded each table, and sang a love song for my fiancee and I - the performance was unique and intimate, and made the meal absolutely unforgettable.
I seriously can't recommend La Joya enough. I haven't even mentioned the incredible decor and ambiance, and the lack of rush - we spent 90 minutes there and never felt rushed or like we had overstayed our welcome. Enough from...
Read moreI recently celebrated my wife's birthday at La Joya Restaurant , and it was an experience beyond expectations. From the moment we walked in, the general manager, Gabriel, made us feel incredibly special. His attention to detail and genuine care (we had balloons!) really set the tone for the night.
The service was nothing short of spectacular, with Jesus and Azael going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their professionalism and warmth made the evening truly memorable.
The food was outstanding - every dish was prepared to perfection with flavors that danced on the palate. And let's not forget about the drinks; they were inventive, delicious, and beautifully presented.
Overall, La Joya Restaurant provided an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, amazing service, and a memorable night out. Thank you, Gabriel, Jesus, and Azael for making my wife's...
