Café Conquistador — Restaurant in Guanajuato

I read a lot of good reviews of this place so I made sure to try it while I was in Guanajuato. I just ordered an iced latte but I wasn't a big fan of it. I mean, it was okay. I could finish it but I guess for me, there just wasn't enough flavor to enjoy, it was neither rich in coffee taste nor in milk. There was ice but I already had that taste in just my first sip so I can't blame the ice. Idk, maybe I came at a bad day because other reviews enjoyed this.

The place itself was nice, there's so much cash placed in the area each with their own dedication from the customer. Most were dollars though which is not surprising, I guess. There were also some big bills which was the surprising part and quite a nice gesture as well. There's like 3 tables in the area so it gets full...

My go-to coffee cafe. What can I say? Charming, historical, friendly service. Six kinds of coffee beans, whole or ground to order. Also for sale: espresso maker, french presses and other implements. It's quite tiny, but just a loveable coffee spot. Go once and you're hooked. I buy my ground coffee there every two or three weeks. A coffee lovers haven. The drink menu is everything you may want, from espresso shot to chai tea, hot and iced. Also, hundreds of cash bills decorate Cafe C from the world over. You're welcome to sign your dollar/ peso/ euro note and paste it on their wall or ceiling to commemorate...

Here's I recently visited this coffee shop and had mixed feelings about my experience. While the coffee itself tasted good, I was disappointed with the preparation of my café cortado. They poured cold milk on top of the coffee, which made it warm rather than hot. I couldn’t believe they didn’t steam the milk before adding it to the coffee.
