After three years in a row of vacationing in PV, I've come to learn that the better restaurants are not located on the beach. However, my spouse wanted to try this place after seeing them grill a whole fish on their outdoor grill last year. ATMOSPHERE: Similar to other beach establishments they have open-air indoor seating, two bars and on-the-beach seating which is what most people want. The Los Muertos Pier is in plain view. MENU: Apps, salads, soups, fajitas, steak, fish, Mexican entrees. FOOD: They issued a coupon for two free apps because we were indecisive on dining here. We received their Guacamole and Romana Calamari. Both were good but mainstream. Whole Red Snapper The five of us devoured this deep-fried fish in no time despite it having hardly any flavor as we were hungry. Pass the salt, please. Black Bean Cream Soup I had a spoonful of my spouse's soup that was disappointingly lukewarm. The flavor was very subtle. Throw me a life ring as I'm drowning in blandness!? Fresh Sea Bass Fillet A Lo Macho My dish was very good as the tender fish was lathered in a flavorful cream sauce and topped with octopus tentacles, shrimp, a sole mussel and onions over jasmine rice. Highly recommended! Rib Eye Think thinly cut, medium rare but tough and dry. So not the traits of a good rib eye. The baked potato was tasty but insultingly tiny like bliss potatoes. Very disappointing. DESSERT: Flan Looks can be very deceiving. The flan was thick and gritty. Pass. Chocolate Lava Cake Now this was good. The cake was moist and wasn't overly sweet. SERVICE: Like all of the beach eateries, they're sharks when you walk by. All of the servers were friendly. Food delivery was quick and synchronized. OVERALL: I stand by my theory: No more on-the-beach dining from here on out.

I will say that up until the end of our service we had a lovely time. Started the morning off with breakfast and mimosas for the wife and I. Food was good and the setting was great right on the beach. After breakfast we took to the beach loungers to enjoy the day and continued the morning with more drinks and snacks while the kids played in the sand and water. We had been at Si Senor for about three hours total when the waiter had come to us saying something about having to rent the loungers for additional costs after we had already been at the loungers for a couple hours. He wasn’t communicating with much conviction so I didn’t fully understand what was happening but could tell the message was coming from inside and they wanted us to pay more. I felt we had tallied up quite a tab already so paid the bill and left. A little disappointing that up to that point having spent $130 US they tried to tack on additional fees while my kids were enjoying the beach. Put a bit of a damper on the day and I felt it was completely unnecessary and tacky. We have always used La Palapa for our beach days but tried something different today. Thank you Si Senor for reaffirming La Palapa will always be our best bet. And as a side note, be sure to check the drink menu before ordering. We ordered two pina coladas, nothing special, smallish in size, but each was charged at $230 pesos. That to me seems pretty steep.

This was a spontaneous stop. We were downtown PV planning to eat at nearby Coco’s Kitchen however because of the MX Labor Day holiday several places were closed. Fortunately Si Senor was open. We sat at one of the beach tables which are great, they are in the sand on the beach and sheltered from the bright sun with a large well planted beach umbrella. The beach breeze was cool and the shade, perfect. Alfredo our waiter was on target and entertaining. He was able to communicate with the kitchen our vegetarian and gluten free requirements. This is not an easy task. They have a good selection of bottled water, sparking and distilled. Also a thirst quenching list of tequila and wines. Tom started with a Cadillac Margarita compete with a side shot of grand mariner. I selected the sangria. Large drinks so be careful. Our entree were equally as delicious, the vegetarian dish I enjoyed was the stuffed poblano pepper on a small layer of risotto. The pepper was large and stuffed with fresh sautéed squash, spinach, onions, tomatoes and mixed with a dense local cheese. Tom had the protein option Carne Asada Tampiquena Style. Chicken enchilada, grilled onions, quac and pico de galo. If you can tolerate the beach and the vendors this is a fun and delicious lunch experience.

Discrimination, food and services were worst I ever had!!! First night there, my partner and I plus another couple had an amazing time we had probably more than 6-7 round of drinks each and our waiter Miguel was amazing, we had so much fun we stayed there till closing AND we left a very generous tip! 2 days later we decided to take my partners family there for a perfect dinner except this time it was the most terrible and devastating experience I ever had in my life! First the hostess ignored us when we got there so we took the available table for 6 we found near the beach! She rudely told us that table was reserved and told us to sit at a 4 person table but there were 6 of us! I told them no we need the table for 6 then they reluctantly let us. The service was super slow for drinks and the food we ordered were terrible. Catch of the day mahi mahi was dry overcooked and steak was extremely salty that cannot be eaten! They brought us bottle of water in plastic bottle with their restaurant label crookedly pasted on!! Like I’m suppose to think that’s legit bottled water! I didn’t drink mine at all! It was strange because 2 nights ago Miguel brought us Fuji water when I asked so thought must be because these were free water! The bill came they had the audacity to charge us 55 pesos EACH for that si senior brand water, where you can buy 6L of water at OXXO for 30 pesos. Of course we refused to pay! They took the water and the salty meat (Carne Asada dish) off our bill then asked if we wanted to pay tips when they never once asked if we wanted more drinks or provided any customer service except bringing us the food! Then as we walked out we can see that every table had bottles of Fuji water, no table had their si senior brand water! Then I realized that because my partners family are local from Mexico therefore they felt ok to give us their self bottled water and tried to charge us! How sad they discriminate their own people! Because if they actually did bring us Fuji water I would have paid for them with no issue, just so I did 2 nights ago! Terrible place please don’t go to a restaurant that discriminate there are so many restaurants to choose from! And they lost a very generous customer I was planning to spend lots last night to impress my partner's family instead we left feeling discriminated and...

Avoid this place! Rip off and Shameless.

There were several issues:

They added extra charges to the bill hoping we wouldn’t notice.

-They told us several times that cash was preferred (not fishy at all) but that they had card reader machines. So when THEIR card reader machine later SUPPOSEDLY wasn’t connecting properly, (a problem on their end) they got very rude and intimidating. They kept grabbing my credit card and holding the machine awkwardly while I put my pin in so they could watch me do it and see the numbers.

I repeat while THEIR machine was “not working”.

They spoke to me as if this was my fault. When this very clearly was their issue. They only made one or two attempts to even process the payment before giving up.

My partner offered to stay with them while I went to get cash from a machine and they refused saying that I would just not come back.

We were nothing but kind and cooperative this whole time.

The very intimidating staff then insisted that I was escorted by a member of their staff ALONE, late at night and over a mile away, to the nearest ATM. My partner came with me so I wouldn’t be alone. All that just to make sure it was payment in cash.

-They also conveniently didn’t have any change, basically forcing me to leave them a tip. After all that.

Pretty Shameless if you ask me.

-If that wasn’t enough. The food was horrible for the price you are Paying: $90ish USD for 2 enchiladas and Coca-Cola.

This place is in an ideal location and of course in such a touristy area you are going to see high prices and poor service…

But this place was too much.

This was the worst I have been treated as a customer.

If you are going to pay for an overpriced meal on the beach. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else where you’ll be treated better.

Overpriced. Poor food. Lacklustre service....
