Captain Don’s — Restaurant in Jalisco

Captain Don's Big Disappointment! We traveled with a group of 10 friends and the day we arrived we found out they didn't have our reservations and the resort was sold out for the cottages that we had paid for and the boats were booked. We had confirmation of the reservation and requested that they refund our money and we would go elsewhere. They refused. Instead they put us into lesser accommodations than what we paid and put us onto a boat where all our dives had to be in the afternoon. We also only visited Klein Bonaire once during our entire week and we were not allowed to request our dive sites. We also requested compensation for the screw up in our reservations and getting inferior accommodations for what we paid which we also did not receive. My first and last time staying there! I've been to Bonaire many times and love it but highly recommend you look elsewhere for a property that cares about customer...

If you are staying at an all-inclusive resort and don't have an open mind, you should just stay at the resort. This bar, dare I say, dive bar, in paradise, is hot, tired looking, slow, crowded and noisy. The food is mediocre, the cocktails are nothing to write home about. But I would say it's probably got the most character of any bar in a nice tourist town that I have ever been to. It's a bar bar. If you like your real dive bars in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Minnetonka, or wherever you are from, come here and you will feel at home. There are plenty of TVs to watch the game, the beer is super cold, the wings are better than some and the people watching....I didn't see a single person in there that wasn't a character with an interesting back story. When you leave you will wish you had stayed in the less-expensive, not-inclusive motel across the street and spent all your money on...

I had seen many good reviews about this restaurant, so wanted to check it out. The first time we went there was 7pm, no food being served, but they gave us the menus and took our drinks order, then told us, the kitchen was closed. We went again around a week later at 6pm, no longer serving food… Hhh. We went again, as there was an event there and we got there at 5pm and did order food, I ordered a Hamburger and Fries, well it must have been a miniature hamburger patty, as I can’t even remember tasting it and the bun was like eating dust, just extremely dry. Also no cold soft beverages. The kitchen and Bar are owned by different people and you have to pay your bill...
