My 31 y/o son stopped in for drinks and was treated so well he insisted we go the next day for lunch. The food was superb and the staff exquisite! They remembered Levi and even his name from the night before. The ambiance was heartfelt, the crew polite and funny at the same time. We ate dinner there early the next night and again the food was to die for, the staff outstanding and they still knew our names, how hot my son liked his salsa (BTW they make the salsa tableside to one's personal taste) and another evening of fantastic fraternization and frivolity was had over food made just south of heaven. On our last night we wandered until late in the evening pretending we were going elsewhere...we wound up back at the finest establishment in Puerto Vallarta. There was a live singer and at the late hour there were few others there and we wound up being the last guests. The beautiful owners a/o business "partners" (?) Let the music play on and even did a fancy tequila tasting with Levi (very similar to a wine tasting with "hints of this" and "notes of that"...they were so serious! It just smelled like liquor to this old lady but they really got in depth with it! Such good fun! I was even allowed to order off menu and then my son decided it was time to teach me salsa dancing or something I had to laugh about because I consider myself a pretty good dancer but I was all left feet that night! Soon one of the beautiful owners (did I mention it is a woman owned business? YESSSS!) began showing Levi a new dance...so, So, SO MUCH FUN̈ WAS HAD BY ALL!!! Don't you dare miss this epitome of good food, awesome hospitality and so many other blessings in one beautiful, comfortable, fair priced dining establishment! Mom and pop at it's finest, Thank you so much, folks I will never forget that last night dancing in the moonlight with my son and all of you made it possible!...

Restaurant Review: Casamar's Charming World of Mexican Cuisine

Nestled in the heart of Centro, Casamar promises a delightful journey through the flavors of Mexico in an upscale atmosphere that exudes charm and sophistication. From the moment you step through the doors, you're enveloped in an ambiance that transports you to a world where every detail is meticulously curated to create a memorable dining experience.

The first thing that strikes you upon entering Casamar is its decor, which seamlessly blends modern design elements with traditional Mexican accents.

But it's not just the ambiance that impresses at Casamar; it's the food that truly steals the show. The menu boasts a fresh take on Mexican cuisine, with each dish thoughtfully crafted to highlight the vibrant flavors and ingredients of the region. From classic favorites to innovative creations, there's something to tantalize every palate.

Of course, no dining experience is complete without exceptional service, and Casamar certainly delivers on that front. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who made us feel right at home. Special mention must be made of Lupita, the gracious host, whose warm hospitality truly made our night...

We ordered 3 dishes…the Tuna Merlot, the Chili Relleno, and the Salmon Mole. The tuna merlot had a good flavor and was cooked well but it would have been better if served with some butternut squash puree underneath as an example. It felt like the dish was lacking something. but it was nice that they served it with a fresh and tasty side salad and rice. The chili relleno was supposed to come with vegetables and cheese inside, but only had a lot of cheese. I did not like the dish as I did not feel like it was balanced. It was way too much cheese and too rich. The salmon mole dish was absolutely perfect!! The salmon was prepared perfectly. The mole was delicious and it was well balanced with some asparagus and plantain to go with the dish. The waiters and hosts of the restaurant were very friendly and generous and created a fun party like atmosphere as it was someone’s birthday and they were celebrating… they turned the whole restaurant into a kind of bar/club atmosphere to celebrate. It was nice but a bit unexpected…They have a patio, which is on the roof, with a view of the city and the ocean so you can see the sunset there as well. they also had one musician playing some live music, which was...

Typical stumble-across after walking around for about 20mins looking for the usual thing which is authentic and quiet but not dead etc etc - so, found this place which I immediately liked because no one was standing outside trying to drag us in. Downstairs was a lovely space which I’m sure in high season would be very busy but on this particular Tuesday night was quiet - undeterred we followed our host upstairs to the patio which was just gorgeous- subtly lit and with amazing views between the streets to the sea. Family Run and it shows everyone was so frikkin happy nothing was too much trouble - I loved the way Isaac made our guacamole and salsa at the table from scratch- so super fresh unbelievable. I then had fantastic Tuna tacos and a fantastic salad- Mrs. TB had veg fajitas but we shared everything. Staff just kept on coming with more Drinks and serving suggestions but never pushy or anything like that. Bill was a reasonable 1,100 MXN which is not cheap but you get what you pay for and I cannot complain food, drinks, services, atmosphere 10/10 def would recommend and for sure go back - Lovely place

5 Stars - An Unforgettable Dining Experience Our family had the most amazing dinner at Casamar 1928 in Puerto Vallarta. From start to finish, everything about the evening was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was second to none. A special thank you to our server, Zora, and the rest of the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make this night truly unforgettable. Everyone made us feel welcome and ensured every detail of our experience was memorable. The festive atmosphere, the vibrant decor, and even the personal touches from the staff turned this into a night that will be ingrained in our family’s memories forever. Thank you, Casamar 1928, for such a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Puerto Vallarta! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a perfect blend of amazing food and impeccable service.
