Wednesdays 6 pm to 10 pm sunset inexpensive drinks and snacks with Javier Axel trovador. This is my favorite local Museum. I discovered many facts about Mexican history including details about the trade development with the Philippines. The models are very detailed. I enjoyed piloting the ship in the large simulator on the second floor. The staff are very proud of their work. The coffee shop is excellent and quiet. Oddly enough it opens at 9 even though the museum only opens at 11. Free on Wednesday. Otherwise cheap enough at 45 pesos. Sadly there is no view of the boardwalk or the Bay from the second floor.

Great little museum which showcases Mexico's naval history from precolonial to the modern era. The air conditioning makes for a nice escape from the heat and the museum costs 45 pesos per person with discounts for students, children, military personnel. The cafe also has AC and is free for entry and Jamaica or hibiscus fresca is only 20 pesos. Loved that. Definitely check this place out of you have the chance!

A good museum for anyone interested in the history of Mexico from the 16th to the 20th century. It will be interesting not only for children - there are games on the marine theme, but also for adults who want to control a ship in an interactive mode. The cost of visiting is 60 pesos for adults and 45 pesos for students or seniors.

Larger than I expected. Two floors have enough content for about 40 minutes. Air conditioning is lacking except for one spot on the first floor, it is bearable though. The history could have been told more fluidly from one poster and section to the next. If you have no background of Mexican history it can be hard to follow/ put together. I left with much more knowledge but also more questions about how the historical events displayed happened to come about and transitioned to the next. It is essentially free to visit though so I would recommend. When we visited recently the simulator was not...

Interesting little museum about Mexico's naval history. Small interactive kiosks for the kids (unfortunately in Espanol only). The rest of the exhibits feature both English and Spanish. Also has an awesome simulator of a ships bridge. As a bonus it is an air-conditioned refuge on a hot day. The young sailor manning the front door did not speak english so we were unable to get a question answered. There is a small gift shop/coffee...
