CHE VALLARTA - Empanadas Argentinas — Restaurant in Jalisco

I've been coming to PV for years and have been enjoying Che's incredible empanadas every time I come. This year I was delighted to see that they had expanded and now offer indoor dining with a full menu to accompany their empanadas.

They have a good array of choices. I've tried almost all of them but my current favorites are the Pollo con Crema (Chicken w/ bechamel sauce), Jamon y queso (ham & cheese), Espinaca y queso (Spinach & cheese) and their Fresa (Strawberry). These are Argentinian style empanadas, with a thich, crisp and flavorful crust. The best I've had since I had them in Argentina.

Their prices are excellent and they have some of the friendliest service in PV! Always a pleasure to pop in for a empanada and a beer. I have yet to order off their menu but if I can resist the empanadas...

What a great hole in the wall!

We shared four empanadas between the two of us. Plus a pineapple one for dessert. All of them were delicious. The empanada style did remind me of the time I spent in Argentina and Chile.

I think the spinach with cheese and corn was my favorite. Carne cone chipotle and pollo a la crema were super tasty. My partner had a vegetable one she really liked.

The place is super small, just a couple tables. We took them a couple blocks and ate them outside at the Malecón.

I absolutely loved the stew. I don't recall the name but there's only one Stew on the menu and it's under their specials. Also love the fact that they serve traditional Jamaica and Guanabana drinks with absolutely no sweetener of the way it should be. The bread was outstanding and the sauces they provided we're very tasty.

The seating was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi very fast.

They serve a traditional Argentinean mate as well as traditional coffee.
