This is a must go to. I did a review on Facebook the first time I went. It is located just down the hill from my home in Alta Vista across the street from the OXXO on Jacaranda. You'll miss it if not careful, it's that small, but the menu is incredible even though there are less than 10 items to choose from. Believe it or not, Enchiladas are not easy to find in Puerto Vallarta. Even though we have hundreds of Mexican restaurants and street vendors very few offer enchiladas because they are not a regional dish specific to this area. They have two kinds, either Pollo or Queso. I usually have them do both the chicken with cheese on top and inside the tortilla with the chicken. There is a choice of sauces one very mild and the other which will remove hair as well as a hot flame will. Cost of everything on the menu is below 60 pesos so for under $3.00 USD you can get a delicious meal. The Pozole is about the best you can get here and enough for two meals in one of their servings. The small restaurant opens at 4:00 PM and stays open well into the morning. Give them a try, for the price and quality you'll be as pleased as I was I found...

The pozale was very good and had tons of chicken and the flavors were good but not great. We’ve had pozale often and this was ok. We also ordered a dorado taco and the deep fried shell was perfect and crunchy but the chicken was overcooked and dry. We also had a carne taco with beans but the beef was again overcooked and slightly tough. Flavors were very good and the guacamole salsa added to it. It also came with some spiced cubed cucumber which was also another nice touch. The place has a great homey feeling like we were in the home which...

I have been coming here several times, the food is excellent, the prices are not expensive, the service is good.

This is a little place with very familiar, very basic infrastructure without luxuries and limited seating, only 6 tables. At times with limited parking.

Very popular and favored by local people who knows where good food is served. If you are a foreigner, an explorer, an adventurer, then I strongly recommend you pay a visit and enjoy genuine Mexican food close to zona romántica.

Otherwise, you will...

Simple traditional Mexican dinner with a funny bathroom. At this place, we tried two things. First, was a simple fried taco with some pulled beef inside. The second was a really great pozole, a Mexican sour to be shared with family and friends. The kernels in the soup are gentle and filled with great flavor. Certainly pair the soup with some lime and some salsa. This place also has a very interesting bathroom--really cozy!

Small, family-owned and operated restaurant. Limited menu but all authentic and taste homemade. I tried the sopes here carne asada and lengua and it was delicious. Generous with the meat. Chips was fresh and the salsa was great. The lady was warm and fabulous, and worked efficiently.
