Mi Querencia — Restaurant in Jalisco

I had the seafood fettuccine. It was supposed to be in garlic, but it came out swimming in a red oil. The fettuccine was good, the shrimps were good, two of the three muscles were good (the 3rd was grilled to death), and what I think we’re supposed to be sun-dried tomatoes were like eating plastic. Other than the shrimp and the muscles individually, the dish had no taste.

My partner had the stuffed chicken. The portion is very small and it was divided into several pieces. The pieces were grilled to the point that they were tough to cut and chew. The sauce was good and the mashed sweet potatoes were very good.

The initial service was good, but after the food was served, no one came to check in on us until we were finished. I could’ve used another beer, but they cleared the table and never asked if...

Stopped in to have a light lunch meal after a "roper" convinced us to go. We ordered guacamole, shrimp tacos and a chile relleno. The guacamole was prepared table side and was simple and delicious! Really done right without the ridiculous tomatoes added in the states. A must have.

The shrimp tacos we expected to be tiny street taco style since this was an appetizer, but they were a substantial set of 4 on blue corn tortillas with a creamy sauce on the side. Simple but delicious.

The chile relleno was a different style than I have seen in the states. I liked it. A lighter salsa and not enchilada type sauce covering it.

Generally I am suspicious of restaurants in a tourist area on a main street but I can say that this one is...

I love this restaurant and have been coming here for 15 years. The breakfast is my favorite. You can get fresh, pressed juice that is fantastic and very affordable. Many people don't care for mole' but it's one of my favorite dishes and this place mole' sauce is the best I've ever had. Rich, chocolate, and nutty flavors coat their chicken enchiladas and their beans here just taste different are are fantastic with some chips.
