Disappointing Experience at Fuego 322 As a Korean, I was excited to try some Korean food on my wife’s last night in Puerto Vallarta (PVR). However, the experience was nothing like what we expected!
We weren't very hungry and just wanted to snack and enjoy a few drinks after the Super Bowl. We saw a place with 4.8 stars (though few reviews), claiming to have been open for over a year, so we thought it would be a safe choice. There was only 2 other tables there when we arrived. (Don't go near closing time PERIOD!!!)
Upon arrival, we were seated and told there were only 45 minutes left in the kitchen before closing for AYCE. I wasn’t planning on eating much, but I wanted to order a la carte as the reviews mentioned. HOWEVER, when I asked, the owner (an older man with glasses) flatly said “No." Even though the kitchen. Was closing soon...
So, I ended up ordering two buffets for the ladies and one bottle of soju. We got 3 types of meat—about 7 or 8 thinly sliced pieces in total. The quality was horrible!! The meat was so tough and tasteless. After one bite of what I think was beef or pork, I had to spit it out into a napkin. Even the vegetables and side dishes were subpar.
Owner, check your cameras! You’ll see I spat it out because it was like chewing on leather. Despite the poor quality of food, I was still charged. To top it off, we requested a final plate of bulgogi for the ladies before we left. What we got instead were 3 thin slices of pork, chicken, and what was supposed to be brisket (but wasn’t!). When we asked for bulgogi, the owner refused!!! I'm sure it was just as bad as the other frozen meats they brought out...
At this point, I was beyond frustrated! We got up to leave, took pictures of the food and the owner w my wifes phone! And he got pissed...why??? and he threatened to call the police if i didn't delete HIS PICTURE!!! I paid the bill (over 1100 pesos) and left after 15 MINUTES!!! to find somewhere else to eat and drink. Pictures below!
To make it worse, I left my phone charging with the bartender (who was wearing glasses), and it never came back. I’m now out $300 for the phone. I tracked it through Find My Phone, and it stayed at the restaurant for three days after I left PV! (I have screenshot showing "find my phone" for 3 days at the restaurant to prove it!!!) My friend who lives in PV called them the next day with no avail...
This experience was a nightmare. Bad food, terrible service from the owner, and now I’m without my phone. Losing my phone is no big deal... But the customer service from the owner and food quality were subpar. I would never recommend this place to anyone...
IF you didn't keep my phone. And you say it's on video. PROVE IT
Fuego 322 – Que Malo!!!
Picture below is what we were served.(nothing like the other reviews!!! and pictures right?) This is why we got up and left...
IF YOUR SURE ABOUT ME GETTING MY PHONE BACK FROM YOU. YOU CAN POST the CCTV Video ON YOUTUBE... I want you to pay for the phone. Or Will i keep leaving 100% honest review on Trip advisor and...

My recent visit to Fuego 322 was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe, leaving me utterly appalled by both the frigid food and the even colder service, particularly from Giovanni, the manager.
From the moment our dishes arrived, it was clear that the kitchen had utterly failed. Every single item, from what should have been a hot soup to supposedly warm side dishes, was ice-cold. It's baffling how a restaurant can send out nearly an entire meal that feels like it's been sitting out for hours, especially one that prides itself on "fuego" (fire). This isn't just a minor oversight; it's a fundamental failure in food preparation and quality control.
However, the true low point of the evening was the abysmal "service" provided by Giovanni. When we brought the issue of the cold food to his attention, his response was not one of concern or apology, but rather a perplexing mix of indifference and what felt like outright dismissiveness. As a manager, Giovanni should be the epitome of professionalism and problem-solving, yet he demonstrated a shocking lack of both. He offered no genuine solutions, no sincere apology, and certainly no attempt to rectify the situation beyond a perfunctory nod. It's truly astonishing that someone in his position could be so utterly inept at handling a basic customer complaint. His attitude only added insult to injury, turning a disappointing meal into a genuinely infuriating experience.
Fuego 322, under Giovanni's apparent leadership, seems to have forgotten the basic tenets of hospitality and culinary standards. There's no excuse for serving cold food, and there's certainly no excuse for a manager to be so utterly useless in addressing customer concerns. Save your money and your appetite; there are countless other establishments in Puerto Vallarta that understand what it means to deliver a warm meal and genuine service. Fuego 322, with Giovanni at the helm, is a place to avoid...
Read moreWas looking forward to trying out Fuego 322 and I'm very happy I did! The food was amazing! I went with the la carte menu this first time ans plan to try the deals on the grill another time. I had a crunchy sushi roll and it was incredibly flavored, beautifully presented and came with soy sauce, sesame sauce and Sriracha on the side. Definitely worth trying! I also tried the bulgogi bowl which was excellent. Not under sauced, not over sauced, perfectly seared beef and a good portion. I was super full. My wife got the California roll which she loved and the spicy tuna roll which she said was one of the best she's had and she's tried a lot of spicy tuna rolls.
I highly recommend the place. The staff is very polite, the atmosphere is really nice and so I hear, the cocktails are excellent too. I was really pleasantly surprised by how well they fixed the building up. I've seen it sitting vacant for years. Happy to see it all come together so nicely.
I'll be back soon!
By the way, credit card...
