Absolutely delighted with the food selection & quality. I didn't even expect to find a vegetarian buffet in PV. It was only a few blocks from my hotel in El Centro and around the corner from the Parróquia de Guadalupe. For an early dinner I enjoyed mixed vegetables with a soy-based beef, spaghetti w/green sauce & mushrooms, rice w/frijoles (I added the bean topping), tortillas de arroz y garbanza (more like 'tater tots'; lightly fried--I could have skipped them but they tasted good). I followed this with a salad plate of vibrant lettuce, corn mixed with diced squash & onion, tomato slices garnished with parsley, and diced cantaloupe y piño. The proprietress also brought me a complimentary slice of mild spice cake--not too sweet. Beverages consisted of filtered aqua, a red-fruit aqua de Jamaica, and an horchata-like drink made from oat instead of rice--the strength was just right--not to thick or spicey. Really, this meal was vegan. At 4pm on a Friday, there were only few other customers. The bill was only 105 pesos (lunch or dinner)! I gladly forked over 150. Anxious to try their 75 peso breakfast. Can't say enough good things about this place; definitely...
Read morePlanet Vegetar in Puerto Vallarta is truly a hidden gem for anyone who loves buffet-style vegetarian food. The concept is simple: unlimited vegetarian dishes at a fixed price. Breakfast is priced at around 170–175 pesos per person, while lunch and dinner are 225 pesos. We tried both breakfast and lunch, and were thoroughly impressed with the variety and quality.
For breakfast, they offer a spread that includes fresh fruits, muffins, breads with cheese spreads and jams, along with a main section featuring nachos and other hot vegetarian items. You also get two types of juices, coffee, tea, and a range of salsas and sides. Lunch had a similar setup, with an added focus on salads and fresh options.
We spent a good amount of time there and really enjoyed the experience. While the price might seem a bit high at first glance, it's excellent value—especially when you consider that even a juice and pancake along the Malecón can cost around 200 pesos. Here, you’re getting an abundant and wholesome meal in a creatively designed space. The ambiance is vibrant, and the artistic murals on the walls are truly a...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this vegetarian restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and informed about the buffet-style dining. Everything looked appealing. The flavors were exceptional. Although I'm not usually a vegetarian, this restaurant made me appreciate vegetables and fruits in a new light.
The potato soufflé was a standout—creamy, flavorful. The salad bar was a delightful mix of vegetables. I had beets, pico de gallo, and cucumber salad. I also enjoyed a fresh, cold fruit drink and ended my meal with comforting vegetable soup, rice, and delicious banana bread.
The ambiance was equally impressive. The restaurant was well-ventilated with multiple ceiling fans, keeping the environment cool and pleasant. The décor was peaceful and unique, adding to the overall dining experience.
This has quickly become one of my top favorite restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. Congratulations to the owners and staff for creating such a wonderful place. I look forward to returning and wish you continued success and many...
