I just had a most wonderful experience at Otto’s for dinner. It’s a new place that opened up near my condo, and I thought I would try it last night. There weren’t many reviews, not many pictures, and no menu, but I had walked by and seen a lot of locals eating there so I thought I would try it. It was amazing! The attentiveness of Miguel, the server, and being able to meet the chef, Jose Manuel, was quite a treat. I had the red snapper fried with butter and garlic. It was one of the best red snappers I have had in Puerto Vallarta and I eat that a lot. it was crisp on the outside, moist on the inside with a delicious flavor. You can sit upstairs and get a bit of a view of the Malecon in the wonderful, small open air setting. I highly recommend it! I will be back to try more of the items on their new menu, which is coming out soon.

However we received all the attention and service we needed, and it was an extra fun bonus to meet Otto himself as well. Definitely recommend if you want a more ‘authentic’ restaurant experience that is still very accessible from the Malecón. Gracias Otto and your staff for the...

Friendly service, decent beers and gucamole, mediocre salsa (it’s a pico de gallo, not roasted peppers or anything), GREAT aguachile, dry fish tacos with no salsa or sauce or anything (but good fish), and seafood Molcajete that’s flavorful but with zero sides other than tortillas (like rice or avocado) and the tiniest 2 little halves of a blue crab that barely made a spoonful of mushy crab meat (whatever photo that other guy posted earlier, this...
