Diners Beware – Disgusting and Unsanitary Practices
While walking in the Romantic Zone, my husband andI stumbled across Soco’s Place. It was crowded, so I figured the food must be good. After eating, I was completely grossed out by what I witnessed: our waiter and a man who appeared to be the owner were recycling unused food.
Specifically, our unpackaged leftover jelly and an untouched bowl of salsa were placed on a wooden shelf near the kitchen—along with other customers’ leftovers that I also saw being added to the same shelf. Then, I watched our waiter take our and others’ leftover jelly and combine it into a plastic container already filled with other jelly. Even worse, he used his index finger to sweep some of the jelly into the container ~ clearly to be re-served.

Maybe I had some that had been sitting for awhile. When the coffee is freshly made I did like it. They brew the coffee into a big stainless steel flask, which is ok if there are lots of people drinking coffee, but when there are only a few customers the coffee gets too old. I like freshly made coffee as you can tell. Roberto is a nice friendly waiter. The reception young lady is always smiling and friendly. There isn't roof top or outdoor seating. Also I did have the fresh carrot juice and...
