OK, so I’ve eaten at this place at least once or twice a day since the beginning of GDL LUX and I’ve came back since for the Quesabirria. There were several times where I asked for it and then they gave me tacos. I tried to tell the server that I didn’t order tacos and they wanna charge me extra to receive the actual order I wanted from the beginning. This last time I ate was a few days ago, They got my order wrong again. I wanted the opposite, which was just the tacobirria, and they gave me Quesabirria without cheese. So when I got the bill, I had informed the server there was no cheese at all, but they charged me more for something I did not receive. The issue started when the manager was making up some stuff how the chef weighed the cheese before placing it in my food, and they had a video recording of it as they were preparing our meals. Which was all made up because even the server had asked the cook, right before the manager got involved, if there was cheese in my food. They’ve already established that there wasn’t but the manager was very hardheaded. He even took my leftover to the kitchen to unravel my food to see if there were any cheese. I definitely left that contaminated food they were ravaging through at the table. He stated he’d rather lose a customer that’s been there almost every day for the last couple weeks than remove the simple 35 pesos charge for the cheese that was never there. When I asked to see the video footage of the cook preparing the food, the manager comes back very upset for having to remove the charge. Also, this restaurant includes a service fee on top of your bill and still asks for a tip, which is illegal to begin with. They’re not supposed to already add the tip which they’re calling the...

Food was pretty good, so I’ll get that out of the way. With that said, service was real crappy. Their menu is not super extensive and yet they let us know that about half of the food in the menu was not available (some of the things were still defrosting, some things they just ran out). I ordered a mojito, they said they were out of mint so I said it was fine without the mint, and they brought me a frozen daiquiri?? Then they took our food order and NEVER came back to check on us. We understand food can take a while to cook but we expect to still be checked on. They could have sold at least 3 more drinks in the 45 minutes we were waiting for our food but nope, no one came to check on us. When we finally got our food, it was decent but not enough to put up with the service. And on top of that they had the nerve to charge 20% tip without asking. I should have looked at the ratings. Service was terrible. Saw my beer sitting on counter. Was wondering why it was not brought to me after some time. Finally had to say something. Then bill comes and they force me to pay a service charge in the bill. Then I give 500 pesos and waiting on my 320 pesos change that never came. Go to counter and no one seems to know anything.
