The Porch is a very easy recommendation to make as it simply, excellent! A great addition to the area. You’ll be greeted by the gracious hostess Feona and courteous and prompt wait staff, and a menu that provides abundant choice yet remains simple and is offered without modification from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. In our several visits we sampled the waffles and the breakfast burrito as well as the eggs Benedict: all of these menu items hit five out of five. Freshly squeezed orange juice is served just slightly below room temperature and the coffee is superb. I can’t stress how superb the coffee is. It really is worth a second or 3rd cup. The restaurant is cash only so make sure you’re prepared, but the prices are very reasonable for the quality and service of the food. Nestled in a little nook the views are charming, and the overall turn of the restaurant is relatively quick so you can expect to be in and out in around half an houror you can linger a little bit more if you choose. There are worse spots and...
Read moreWent yesterday for the first time. I ordered the Monte Cristo and to be honest it was just two pieces of fairly dry bread with a thick slice of wet ham and a piece of cheese. The outside of the bread looked like it had egg on it but the inside was just dry bread. The raspberry jam was like a flavored water. It was a disappointment. I just ate one 1/2 of it. My friend had the Mexican eggs with beans and said it was good although a little salty. The place is cute. The OJ was fresh. Not really any seating with shade (we went around 1pm). The service was great. I wanted to go because I saw Monte Cristo and it’s my favorite. Another customer came over to look at my sandwich when it arrived but also said it didn’t look like a Monte Cristo and he was going to order something else. I wish I had. The food on the menu (online) looks great. Maybe I’ll try the French toast or pancakes if I go back. I hope they improve the Monte Cristo becuxse I don’t know any other place on PV...
Read moreThe porch is a great breakfast/brunch spot in PV. Even though the place is packed with the staff being busy, each time we went, it did not take us long to get greeted and directed. Place is very inviting and the food was really delicious. The first time I went I ordered the omelet. I almost told the waiter no refried black beans, but I’m glad I did not. It was different for me to have that combo, but it paired great with the omelet. Second time I went, my husband and I ordered the open faced sandwich and the burrito. He took half of the sandwich and I took half of the burrito. Both were very tasty!! The French toast is good if you...
