I wanted to get out for a bit, so I took my laptop to Wings Army in Puerto Vallarta to work while grabbing something to eat. When I arrived, I chose a booth near the Pemex gas station and sat down, looking forward to ordering my favorite Lemon Pepper wings.
As I got settled, I noticed the waitress taking an order at the table in front of me. She continued servicing other customers, so I assumed she’d get back to me shortly. After about 10 minutes, I flagged down a male waiter and asked for a menu and a beer. He brought me a menu and returned five minutes later with the beer. I figured I’d nurse my drink while waiting to place my order.
That wait turned into 45 minutes.
During that time, I watched them take four new orders and deliver food to those tables—yet no one ever came back to take mine. Finally, I wrapped up what I was working on, walked to the host stand, and asked to pay for the one beer I had. The waitresses were just sitting there, completely unbothered by the fact that I had never been served.
I explained that I was leaving because no one took my order, and the waitress gave me a “whatever” look as she swiped my card. I even asked her, "What if I were here to review the restaurant?" Her response? A dismissive "Okay."
I’ve been living in Mexico for three years, and this was the worst service I have ever experienced. And for a restaurant I’ve visited many times before, this was just plain BAD.
Maybe it was because the Carnival Panorama cruise ship was in town, and the restaurant was busy with cruise passengers—likely leading the staff to prioritize bigger tables with higher tipping potential. Maybe a solo diner like me didn’t seem "worth their time."
I won’t say don’t visit, but just beware—you might end up sitting there watching everyone else eat while being...
Read moreI order take out on 4/5/24 late night. My first time to try out food in this restaurant. The name of the place is in English, they have a menu in English. But when I ask if someone can take our order, nobody could bec they didn’t speak English. I ask for the manager but she also couldn’t speak a word in English. Managed to give our order. Waited 35 to 40 minutes for an order of ribs & wings. I noted that the customer next to us were already paying for her meal; she ordered AFTER I gave my order. I asked a server to help me because my order was taking a long time. She went to check and I saw that my order was just sitting near where the bartenders were. I paid but told the manager that the wait was unacceptable, that she should have checked on my order and that she should have been ready to take orders with some basic English. Menu was typical American ribs and wings. Awful restaurant here in Puerto Vallarta. When we got to our hotel and opened the paper bag, they gave me 2 orders of wings; no ribs. To the owner of this place, you’re not up to par with many other restaurants here. If you’re only interested in serving to your local diners, then I can understand why we had such a bad experience tonight at...
Read moreOswaldo was our waiter as we traveled all the Way from Houston TX. The Wing restaurant reminded us of Wing Stop back in the states. We got off the Yacht and was starving and decided to try out their wings. Firstly, we were the only 3 initially in the restaurant. The waiter stood back, away from us staring at us between 5 to 7 min as I had to wave at him to ask could he take our order. He was ok once he came over, but the vibe was weird. The food was not good at all. Asked for well done wings, they came out overly fried too hard, small, and lacked flavor. They didn't look anything like the photos on the website.
While we waited for the ticket, he stared again and talked with a co worker and someone else came to provide our ticket. The experience was not well there in Puerto Vallarta and would not recommend that...
