What a great find in the Versalles neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta!

Very new and fresh looking....they had cool tables made of wood that caught our attention so we looked then they had a dish that we were searching for so we stopped in....we are so glad that we did!

We were on a self exploration "Taco Tour" se we only ordered 1 thing...the Huitlacoche Taco.....

So the kitchen was out front and that was a nice touch! It looked like they had grandma cooking...and boy could she cook! She did hand made blue corn tortillas that since they weren't pressed were thick....warm...soft...and DELICIOUS!

The filling was Huitlacoche "corn smut", which we had never tried before! It was soooo good! Like a combination between corn and mushroom flavors! It came with 2 sauces on the side which were very delicious!

The lady who might of been the owner, who took our order really tried to sell us on trying different things, but we were trying only 1 taco at each place we stopped....

Next time in Puerto Vallarta we will...

Phenomenal! Soooo good. The tortillas, the meats and salsas are so well made. We just decided to try it because it was a block from our Airbnb. The owner was there and said that it’s mostly locals that frequent the place, not too many tourists. Hey fellow Americans (& Canadians), if you want some incredible street tacos and huarachas made with hand-made tortillas, this is the jam. We will be going back before we...

We tried the tinga de res, champiñón and chicharron huaraches, so tasty. 😋 We like the tinga de res best and we’re looking forward to going back and trying more. The agua sabor was made fresh to order, refreshing and delicious. We are disappointed in ourselves for not having tried this goodness sooner. I was starving and forgot to take a picture of our actual food. It was good to the very last bite. ...
