I wouldn't recommend visiting this place. There were just three mint leaves in my mojito, from which one was completely brown and dry. The drink tasted as water with a drop of lime. The portion of guacamole was tiny with just five or six tortilla chips in total (very unusual for Yucatan portions). Not even a pinch of salt or any other spices touched the chicken in pollo pibil I ordered. My husband was more lucky and pollo Yucateca was indeed good. The athmosphere was alright. The food was mediocre, not spiced well. But what was awful was the service. Initially, everything seemed ok. We came early so we were served quite quickly, but when leaving, the place already started getting full. We had to wait for the bill for a really long time (even though we reminded the service/owner twice). Moreover, he repeatedly emphasized verbally and even wrote on the bill that tips are not included, and when paying, he stood like a meter away from us and starred at us, basically forcing us to leave a tip. Friendly and engaging staff make this place a pleasure to eat in. The quality of the food was excellent. Not fussy or elaborate, but the ingredients were prime and the taste very good. There is a choice of seating inside, or in an open-air courtyard with fans to keep you cool. The WiFi worked well. Good prices. I can't give it 5 stars because although the decor was unique and interesting, it was a little tired compared to other establishments close by, and I wasn't really feeling the plastic chairs added anything.
