Sabor a frutas — Restaurant in Mérida

Good coffee, and AMAZING food! In addition to all the wonderful fruit options, the sandwiches are FANTASTIC. I discovered this wonderful establishment yesterday, and I am planning to go there now for breakfast every day of this week. They are the only restaurant in the area that is open and serving coffee and food at 6AM.

As an added bonus, they have a very cute kitty named "Guava" - she will come to you if you call her - but don't worry, if you're not a cat lover, she will keep her distance unless called.

The service is great here, and the owners are very friendly. I am coming back in a few weeks with my wife, and we will eat our breakfast here for SURE.

Try the "Sandwich Integral" - ask for "pechugo de pollo" - chicken breast - it is grilled to perfection, and is served on whole wheat bread with lettuce and tomato. It's my favorite! They also have lots of traditional breakfast foods - eggs prepared many different ways, bacon, and so on. Also, their chilaquiles de pollo (kind of like a really big, open taco, difficult to describe) and huevos revueltos (Scrambled Eggs) are FANTASTIC!

They make your juice right there, after you order what kind you want. There are dozens, perhaps hundreds to choose from, if you count all the combinations. My current favorite is Mango Naranja (Mango and Orange), but they are ALL great. :)
