Burger Bar Joint — Restaurant in Mexico City

Of all the nice places to recommend on Alvaro Obregan, this is NOT one of them. Masquerading as a restaurant, this is a scam and fraud center. I stopped by for lunch and had the Caesar salad which was marginal. I ordered a margarita to go with that and was specific in specifying I wanted the house margarita. When the bill showed up, the margarita was 298 pesos when on the menu it's clearly 152 pesos. Nearly double. I asked why and the response was I received the top shelf Don Julio margarita. Ok, that's great but not what I ordered. It's apparent that's your mistake and not mine. And now you've just ripped me off for double the price. I asked the management for a refund to my credit card or a cash in return since we had already run the card. The response: Sorry but no.... So let me get this straight. I order something and you bring me not what I wanted at double the price and then charge me that. If this was a simple mistake then you need to fix it. If it was an outright hidden upsell scam then shame on them. They won't get my business anymore and I hope others learn of this...

This is a very difficult review to make, because I enjoyed the hamburgers, the flavor was good, unfortunately the waitress revealed too much and basically threw the restaurant under the bus when we ordered a glass of water. He said that he did not recommend us to order anything that had water because the restaurant used water from the tap and the filter had not been changed in a very long time, suggesting the water was dirty.

In Mexico the water from the tap is not drinkable.

So... any drinks that have water (coffee, tea, iced tea, water, etc) or any food that requires water to be prepared could be contaminated. If this is the case with water that is the most basic ingredient, it makes you wonder about the quality of the rest of the ingredients.
