They get one star, because zero isn't an option. I was visiting Mexico City with a group and had contacted this place weeks in advance. They were very responsive at the time, only to catfish me ten seconds after arriving. The first and only request I made when booking this place, was that we wanted a lounge table close to the pool so that we could be in and out of the pool, and spend the day laying out-- to this request there were no objections/issues. Upon arrival they tried sitting us at a table on the opposite end of the restaurant, where the pool was barely visible, and then told us we could not use the pool unless we were hotel guests. After speaking to the manager they still denied us entry to the pool area. Since we were already there, we ordered what turned out to be some of the worst tacos I've had in years. The two orders of oysters we ordered are probably still being caught in a nearby coastal city-- not sure since they never arrived in the more than two hours we spent there. Once we tried to pay and it started to rain, suddenly pool access wasn't an issue if we stayed and paid for more food/drinks. The atmosphere I must say was nice, but this was a total scam from...
Read moreThe restaurant has a lot going for it in terms of ambiance. The decor is lovely, the music is excellent, and the staff are friendly, responsive, and speak great English. We visited hoping to catch a stunning sunset, but unfortunately, the venue doesn’t offer a west-facing view. That was a bit of a letdown, though I’ll admit it’s on me for not doing better research beforehand
The real disappointment, however, came with the food and drinks. I ordered Paraiso cocktail, and it tasted like a cheap premix; completely underwhelming, especially given its premium price tag. Next came the pork belly taco, which looked incredible. The pork belly was perfectly cooked, with a delightful crunch, but the dish fell flat due to a complete lack of seasoning. A pinch of salt during the cooking process could have made all the difference. It was surprising (and frustrating) to see such a beautifully presented dish with perfectly cooked meat lack any real flavor.
The view of the city was fine, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall mediocrity of...

Prior to making the reservation, we made it crystal clear that we intended to have lunch and enjoy the pool. The staff assured us that we could use the pool if we met a minimum spend requirement on food and drinks, and we happily agreed. However, upon arrival, we were informed that pool access was restricted to hotel guests only. We even offered to pay extra to gain access, but they remained adamant in their refusal.
After enjoying our lunch and a few drinks, we reluctantly decided to find another venue due to their pool policy. Interestingly, the staff then offered us access to the pool, which we declined as we had already made alternative plans. It was incredibly frustrating, especially considering that nobody utilized the pool during our entire visit. Overall, this experience left us feeling disappointed...
