Derba Matcha Café — Restaurant in Mexico City

I ordered a matcha latte and it left a lot to be desired, so much so that I went to another place to get a matcha latte after I left.

I should have asked how much matcha powder they actually put in a latte before ordering but didn’t. It was hardly anything. It looks nice at first because the foam at the top holds most of the matcha powder, but if you stir it up it will look like lightly green-tinted milk. Hardly any matcha and the thing costs more than most matcha lattes in the area.

The seating is really nice, but I definitely won’t be coming back.

Awful service. Staff rude from the beginning, begrudgingly took our order and then subsequently didn’t make it. The staff member who took our order walked away.

While the cafe had a lovely atmosphere with comfy couches and beautiful skylights, the matcha latte was a HUGE disappointment. The quality was TERRIBLE, evidenced by its dull color and extremely watered-down taste, easily one of the worst I've had. As a frequent traveler who enjoys matcha cafes, I found the preparation here is lacking. This cafe should not have “matcha” in their name as it is NOT their specialty.
