The bar had a fun and charming atmosphere, with red lighting that evoked a nostalgic feeling of decades past. The space itself isn’t very large, with a limited number of tables and chairs, and the design of the backbar was quite simple nothing particularly unique or eye catching.

The real highlight, however, was the staff. They were exceptionally kind and welcoming, and that alone earns this place major points in my book.

As for the drinks, they were rather average neither particularly creative nor visually striking. Still, I appreciated the fact that they were freshly prepared and served, which added value to the experience for me.

Despite being listed among the 50 Best Bars in the World, I honestly don’t feel it lives up to that ranking. I wish I better understood the credibility and criteria of such institutions, as this placement feels somewhat undeserved.

That said, I am truly grateful for the warm hospitality and sincerely hope the bar continues to grow and improve every day.

Cafe de Nadie had our favorite cocktail during a week spent in CDMX--La Danza De Mono was a 10/10 drink. We sat at the bar and in our time there the bartender only said one word to us: "Listos?" Otherwise he ignored us. When our drinks were empty I made eye contact with him several times and he didn't approach us, so we had the one and left. We arrived just after opening and it wasn't terribly busy.

The menu comes in a CD jewel case and is printed like the insert of a album bought on CD. Novel idea. But the cocktails are then printed small, and are not a hard-light font on a hard-dark background so it's very hard to read especially since the space is very dark, even around 6pm when it's still sunny twelve feet away outdoors.

While the drink was outstanding we found the service and hospitality to be lacking, especially for a bar of this reputation, and we were very frustrated with the difficulty we had reading the small menu in...

Atmosphere 8.5/10 Music and vinyl themed bar. Really cool retro vibe with dark red lighting makes you feel like back in the early 00’s. Bar seating is very limited. The backbar is accordingly not in focus here

Drinks 4/10 Recommendation: - The menu is inside an old school CD cover and cocktails are inspired by older songs. Plus points for glass and garnish visualizations on the menu. However, the recommended drinks did disappoint… El Chacarero was too bitter and the strange jelly in the spoon did not match the flavors. La Borrachita was not well balanced either. Basic presentation. No garnish, no coasters

Service 6/10 Water served on the spot and the staff was very friendly. However, the orders took a bit too long (~15min) and there was no service beyond that. Average prices for CDMX

We got caught in a wild downpour outside so we popped into this space to wait out the rain. Solid option! Bonus points finding out I scratched another World's 50 bar off the list. The drinks were a little too adventurous for me at the time, and I didn't want to risk ordering something I didn't like, so we went with espresso martinis. I got mine with cognac and it was okay; it's not a typical variation and bartenders don't always get it right, so I don't blame the bar and was just pleased that they accommodated my request. Best part for me was the La Baja oysters. I'm a little picky with raw oysters, but these were great and paired well with the cucumber aguachile. Service was friendly but, as others stated, it was a little slow. The music was a good touch and I liked the aesthetic of the whole place. Overall, I liked it enough to save on my Google maps for the next time I visit CDMX.
