Pizza was outstanding, service was abysmal! First thing is they sat me at one of these see-saw tables (uneven that rocks back and forth). I ordered a beer when the waitress brought it to my table, I asked for a slice of limón. The waitress proceeds to do her prep work by lighting candles for every table in the restaurant (there was ONE other table occupied). By the time she brings the limón, I am three quarters of the way done with the beer. By the time they bring my meal, I have given up on the see-saw table and have moved to THE most uncomfortable bar stool at the bar. The bar was still filthy from when the waitress had eaten her meal before I walked in (I saw her sitting there eating as I arrived) twenty minutes earlier. This bartender was the laziest employee I have EVER seen. If I owned this restaurant, I would fire this bartender, he was TERRIBLE! He couldn't even be bothered to clean the counter when I moved to the bar. He sat there eating sunflower seeds, talking to someone on the telephone rather than clean the bar in front of him. I finished the meal with a terra misou and a carrijillo. By the time the dessert was delivered, the ice had melted in the drink and it was nothing more than a watered down espresso. I would NEVER eat here again..... The morale of this story is if you want a good pizza, go to Toscano but get it TO GO! THIS PLACE...
Read moreGluten free diners beware. I asked our waiter 3 times while ordering to confirm that the pasta dish I ordered was going to be prepared gluten free. When it was brought to the table, I asked the waitresses who served me to confirm that it was indeed gluten free. She said yes, so I started to eat (quickly, because I was hungry and the service had already been slow). Five minutes later our original waiter came back and informed me my dish was NOT gluten free and only then asked me if I preferred gluten free spaghetti or penne for my dish. It took another 30 minutes to get my food (after my party had already finished their plates). They did not remove my dish from the check total. I had to strongly inform them that my order was not a preference, it’s for an allergy. Thang God I am gluten intolerant and not diagnosed celiac. They didn’t care. They also did not remove the dish from our check as a courtesy. Please be wary or choose another restaurant entirely for gluten free dining, like Farna, which is walking distance in Roma. It has way better food and...
Read moreDo not go here. I’m sorry. I never give bad reviews and I’m a fellow business owner in another country. I’m very understanding when it comes to food arriving late or the staff being super busy but I can honestly say there was no warm welcome and it was overly staffed. The staff took forever to take our order. The restaurant was almost empty by the time we arrived. We ordered something light since we had already ate but felt like some sweets and drinks will be great. We ordered a orange juice, latte, fruit dish, pan dulce. Only the drinks arrived. Staff passed and looked our way so many times and nothing. I waited for sure over 30 minutes and nothing. I even had to get up and ask for my bill since I had other plans and couldn’t wait any longer. They apologized and still charged me the two drinks. Which I think might have been priced differently now that I think back. Still left a tip since I’m in the restaurant business but definitely will not come back here again....
