Beautiful space. Friendly, attentive service. I appreciated the offer of a menu in English. I ordered wine, bean soup and steak tacos. The tacos were delicious, truly perfect. The bean soup was just OK. Oddly, it was served luke warm, not hot. Perhaps this is the style. I felt pressured to give a tip higher than I wanted. I paid via credit card and the high tip amount was pre-selected by the waiter before he handed the machine to me. After several taps I was able to adjust the tip down to my selected level. But then the transaction failed. Immediately a second waiter appeared with a different machine. This machine operated in a different manner and allowed me to select the level of tip instead of letting the waiter pre-select the level of tip for me. I selected my tip and the transaction went through. This check out process left me with a bad feeling. I believe the management of the restaurant has decided to pressure tourists to leave a higher tip with this unusual credit card machine and pre-selected tip level as the management does not expect tourists to ever return. Perhaps their thinking goes something like this: “Tourists will never become regular, loyal customers, so let’s extract every bit of money we can from them during their one time here.” I...

I got food poisoning after eating here. Already before ending my meal, I started to feel sickish and then I unleashed in a severe food poisoning. It is a pity because the place is nice and the service fine. Though the food was truly horrible. It says that the ingredients are fresh and comes from their garden. I doubt it. It all tastes like very low quality food which partly was not even cooked through like the artichokes and potatoes. The music was way to loud and the public was exclusively touristy. It was a full on tourist trap. The price didn't male any sense either. It tripled by price the average (high cuisine) restaurants I have been to throughout the past week. All this for horrible food and food poisoning. I would not have been so harsh if it wasn't for feeling so sick afterwards.

Besides, it does not make sense that they have such a huge amount of outstanding reviews that clash with the quite a lot of bad reviews too. They make me think that they are fake to be honest.

I do not...

This used to be one of my favorite places in Roma but three years later and the service has deteriorated a lot. The food is still quite good however, everything we got was delicious.

At our dinner tonight (July 29) our curly-haired waiter disappeared in middle of it without a word.

We asked another waitress for a drink and she told us we could ask our waiter. After about 5 minutes we asked her for drinks again because the waiter was gone and we asked her where did our mesero disappear, she says “oh we went to lunch.” So our server basically disappeared in middle of our dinner to go eat…

I got my second glass of wine and the new waitress literally poured it using a shot glass. Two shots, not a milliliter more or less. I can only speculate as to why she had to use a shot glass to pour wine but it’s not a good look.

About 30 minutes later our original waiter finally reappeared without saying anything and we were attended by some of the other more helpful guys. Really...

A very chic, classy and warm place. The house looks enchanting, and the restaurant dining in the courtyard looks amazing. We started with some Mexican red wine. I’m not a great wine connoisseur- so can’t really judge. However, it was on the dry side and decent. In the first course they served some vegan ceviche. The broth was made with tortilla ash and black bean. I’m not a big fan of vegan food, however, this one tasted really good. In the second course they served some pumpkin risotto with roasted cauliflower, and a shrimp on top. The shrimp was great with Mexican seasoning. The risotto on the other hand was pretty boring and bland. Overall, the restaurant has a very upscale, farm to table feeling. I absolutely enjoyed my time here.
