This restaurant is incredible!! There are two doors. We entered on the left and climbed the stairs to the second floor. The six course meal that evening was priced at $335 mxn. You order each course as you finish a course. First up for us was a voice among the chef’s salad, the melted cheese with cilantro and the mixed meats platter. We had questions are our amazing waitress brought over samples so we could see the food. Next up was the soup course. A choice between chicken consommé and sopa Azteca. Both were delicious. Next was the pasta course - a choice between paella valenciana and spaghetti arrabiata. No one was disappointed with their choice. After that, the fish course. We tried the breaded fish fillet and the fish medallion with lobster sauce. Again, they were expertly prepared, hot and delicious. The meat course offered options of a veal cutlet, an Argentine style roulade, and a filet Rossini. They were again all delicious. We were so full when the dessert course arrived. We tried the jam and cheese and the pastry with ice cream. Ay!! We could barely move and I’ve almost forgotten to tell you about the sangria. We had the red and it was fruity and very delicious. We learned that you can skip a course, but you can’t go back to it later. It was a beautiful room and...
Read moreI love coming here. Food is always great, particularly their brick oven cooked veal, roast pig and lamb. I’d say, if you come here, make it a point of trying those dishes specifically. The atmosphere is that of a Castilian restaurant, almost like you’re in Madrid or Segovia or something, although the food is, as in most Spanish restaurants in Mexico, very influenced by Mexican food, which is not bad in itself, but should be mentioned. Only complaint i have is that waiters make it a point of pushing the most expensive and vast dishes on the menu, and as someone dining by himself as I’m in Mexico City for work, it’s ridiculous, as there is no way I could ever finish all that food. Other than that, food is always guaranteed here. It’s not cheap, but the service is great too (barring the...
Read moreWe did the prix-fixe menu, and it was terrible. There was a LOT of food, but none of it was really tasty. The paella was flavorless, the meat overcooked. The fish was also not very good quality, and the fried filet was soggy. We didn't even do the fourth course as we didn't want to waste any more food, and didn't have any confidence that it would be good. We did get dessert, and the cake was super dry, and even the sorbet was of low quality . We were not allowed to take the leftovers, which was a disappointment as it wasted a lot of food. Would not recommend at all. So many incredible places in CDMX. This was way...
