I came to this restaurant expecting a good meal, but what I got was undercooked food and an even worse attitude from the staff. I ordered a salad and roasted chicken. When I cut into the chicken, it was visibly bloody — not just pink or juicy, but actual blood. I brought it to the staff’s attention, only to be told it wasn’t raw.
When I insisted, they brought out the chef, who didn’t even bother to look at the chicken I was still holding. He dismissed my concerns with a condescending attitude, claiming “that’s the style” and that he didn’t need to check it. No apology, no offer to replace it, just a macho performance that made it clear they don’t take customer safety seriously.
I couldn’t even finish my salad and left in a hurry because the experience was so bad. Not once did a waiter or manager come to check on us afterward. Yes, they took the dish off the bill — but at no point did anyone apologize or offer a replacement. I wasn’t looking for a freebie, just a basic level of respect and concern for food safety.
I left feeling not only disgusted, but genuinely concerned for anyone else who might be served undercooked meat here. If this is the “style,” it’s not one I’d...
Read moreBeen a few times and trying to make it my local. But notably— staff are inconsistent with polite, gracious & efficient service.
My most recent visit was the worst so far in terms of service. Rude brusque intro to menu/ seating etc. I had to beg twice for a glass of ice water to accompany my dinner. For whatever reason this request specifically seemed to put the female server totally out/off (as the person actually inconvenienced I found this to be an odd behavior reversal). A glass of water…and never got offered a refill btw.
Following that interaction, service continued downhill with rest of wait & bar staff lending her moral support by sharing in her rudeness and lack of attention (save for the bartender with the two braids who actually seemed to understand the assignment).
As others posters have noted, service protocols could use some work. Hope this review is helpful and...
Read moreTotally overrated and full of tourists. I tried doing some work there and was told there was a one hour limit to using my laptop. I assured them I would continue consuming while I worked. It didn’t seem to matter. While I still had my cocktail I was told that I had to leave because there was a waitlist. I said I was about to order another cocktail. Fine, they said, but I could no longer use my computer. As soon as the waitress left I saw there were four empty stools at the bar, a table for 8 and a table for 2 open. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that still I couldn’t use my laptop any longer. Places with stupid rules like this should not be supported. Total hipster tourist trap. I canceled my second cocktail and bounced from that place. They basically made a paying customer feel unwelcome and ended up with empty...
