Cuarentena Baking — Restaurant in Mexico City

This is the sad, generic, lifeless and cheap plastic box that they gave me the cookies in. Each cookie costs $90 pesos. EACH. COOKIE. These are probably the most expensive cookies that exist and they can’t even give you one of their nice pink branded boxes unless you buy 4 of them. You can’t even buy the box. The owner or the manager or whomever doesn’t like doing that apparently. I was supposed to bring these cookies home with the full experience and presentation, with the pink box, but no. I guess the family will be disappointed.

Well in all honesty they will probably be too busy with the diabetes they’re gonna get from the cookies because they are probably more than 50% sugar. Seriously, you probably can’t eat more than one without feeling nauseous from the high sugar content.

Anyways in conclusion, imagine coming home and telling everyone you spent $270 pesos on just 3 cookies and then you show them this ugly thing that makes it look like you got them from Walmart 😂. Not going to buy again. It’s a small thing but for the price it makes it a total disappointment.

1: There are many bakeries in your area that sell all types of bread such as conchas which are much larger in size than your cookies. These require way more ingredients and they don’t cost nearly $100 pesos. You’re just greedy.

2: I literally offered to buy the box and the girl working there said no because the owner doesn’t like doing that 🤷🏻‍♂️…..

3: Yes most bakeries use a generic box, but most bakeries don’t charge almost $100 pesos for a single cookie 😂. So for that price you better be giving me the whole experience no matter how many cookies I buy. A smart business owner would make different box sizes for different amounts of cookies. Even a pink branded paper bag for a single cookie would have been nice. Such a simple solution 🤦‍♂️.

Mi experiencia realmente fue muy mala, nunca había experimentado LA DISCRIMINACIÓN hasta el día que me mandaron a este lugar por un pastel; bueno trabajo para una aplicación y no es ni rappi, didi, uber, es otra app de entregas; para no hacerles el cuento largo llegue como cualquier repartidor, en un principio me atendió una señorita muy amable, la cual me pidió el numero de pedido para poderme entregar, el cual en el momento no tenia, salí del local para no ser un estorbo, pues había mucha gente que compra en este sitio, me comunique con la persona que había encargado el pastel y me dio los datos, regrese al mostrador y me atendió de forma muy despectiva un hombre de camisa roja con estampado y me dijo, no lo puedo atender tiene que formarse, después de 35 minutos de espera finalmente llegue al mostrador, y me di cuenta que atendían inmediatamente a cualquier repartidor de las app en un principio mencionadas, pero como yo no pertenecía a ninguna de ellas simplemente me mandaron a la fila y en principio sentí mucho coraje, después reflexionando me di cuenta que había sido discriminado por no pertenecer a alguna de estas app. si algún abogado cree que se puede demandar por discriminación avísenme pues estoy dispuesto a demandar por el daño moral que sufrí. 04-10-23 Ya con ideas claras me di a la tarea de verificar, si el termino que ocupe era correcto, en Internet encontré lo siguiente: La discriminación tiene lugar cuando una persona no puede disfrutar de sus derechos humanos o de otros derechos legales en condiciones de igualdad con otras personas debido a una distinción injustificada que se establece en la política, la ley o el trato aplicados. También no se ustedes pero conforme a lo que me respondieron, consciente o inconscientemente están discriminando a mi y a compañeros de otras aplicaciones, tomando como pretexto lo que ustedes mencionan: "Nosotros sólo trabajamos con un app, que es UberEats. I came to CDMX from the UK and visiting this bakery was at the top of my priorities, I simply would not catch my plane home without trying one of their cakes! Lots of places back home make aesthetically beautiful cakes and pastries but with mediocre taste, but I was so pleasantly surprised that wasn’t the case here. My partner ordered the cake so the design would be a surprise and they executed it perfectly, nothing short of pure artistry, you can tell they pour their heart into their baking and decorating. SO delicious too - perfectly moist and packed full of flavour (we got the choco dulce de leche). My only criticism, if you can call it that, is that their cakes are almost too beautiful to eat - cutting into it just about broke my heart.
