Okay guys I usually don’t write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. I found the worst café in Mexico City, in my most beloved city in the world. It’s This place, Café Dharma. I’m staying right next-door and for 3 days every time I’ve walked by it the big garage roll up doors have been closed. Today, at 1pm, I see the place is wide open and there is a barista at the register. I go up to the counter and the barista looks at me confusedly and says ‘We are closed.’ I at that point am also confused because there is a crude sign (a piece of paper) on the front of the counter that reads ‘horarios: 8am-3pm.’ Again, it is 1pm. So my question is What is the point of a café that is always closed, but even when its doors are fully open, is still closed!? Lol. So many other amazing cafés here in Juarez, that you don’t have to feel like an idiot trying to get an espresso. I ended up going to Coffee Khot, which was just perfect,...

I am obsessive compulsive about coffee. When at home I buy the darkest roasted coffee beans I can find locally and then ROAST THE BEANS SOME MORE! I then going them just before brewing with a high-end conical burr grinder.

I am about as demanding a person when it comes to coffee and I think I found My favorite coffee roaster in Mexico City, which is important because I am visiting here for 5 weeks.

The pleasant young woman waiting on us was very responsive to my questions about which beans were the best for usand the ground them as we requested.

Then we had her brew a cup for each of us and the coffee was excellent! We will be back here...

There is no secret that people in Mexico are so warm-hearted. But here you are treated like a true friend. The owner Jonathan (the roaster), knows his coffee very well, and even though you might not be familiar with the concept of a specialty coffee he is more than keen to explain it to you. Further on the coffee, the coffee is very rich in flavor. I especially liked the medium-roast coffee from the Oaxaca region (chocolaty/nutty aromas)

If you think I am exaggerating, pay this place a visit by yourself, and you will see you won't be...

I searched all over Roma Norte, and this is the spot if you're looking for consistent freshly roasted and grinded coffee beans by a warm and welcoming barista. I enjoyed the espresso and especially enjoyed the horchata cafe being bold with flavor without being overpowered by sugar. This is not your average overrun coffee shop, plus it's a great value; you'll never get overcharged here.
