Craving something bright and refreshing after a heavy lunch, I stumbled into El Pez Azul on a rainy Saturday night—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was welcoming: a friendly server greeted us and quickly took our drink order. Their fresh lemonade with Topo Chico was an instant winner—tangy, effervescent, and made with lime squeezed right in front of us (no concentrate here!).

Despite my hesitation (a past aguachile experience in the U.S. left me wary), we trusted the house recommendation: "El Patrón" aguachile, medium spice. One bite erased all doubts—this dish was explosively fresh, with perfectly balanced heat, citrus, and buttery shrimp, scallops, and octopus. I’m still dreaming about it, and I’ll absolutely order it again next time.

We also tried the shrimp empanada and two chocolatas clams (both great), but the aguachile was the star. Next visit, I’m diving into their tostadas!

Beyond the food, the service was exceptional—attentive but never rushed. The space was spotless, dog-friendly, and buzzing with warmth. A flawless experience—10/10, and I can’t...

I was craving fish tacos and found El Pez Azul nearby La Condesa, I did not expect the burst of flavors in the taco options! Delicious! Service was excellent and the outdoor seating was comfortable and surprisingly peaceful. Mauricio made sure I had everything I needed I also was not planning on dessert but I was so impressed with what I ordered (shrimp, guisado fish, fried salmon tacos) that I was curious to try the flan. Mauricio came by just in time and offered it to me, what a mind reader! The flan was the perfect way to end the meal, not overly sweet and the perfect amount to leave me dreaming of coming back soon! If you are a seafood lover don’t miss out on this spot in CDMX. I only got photos of the flan, I’ll be back to take fotos...

El Pez Azul has firmly established itself as my favorite fish restaurant in all of CDMX, a title it richly deserves. From the moment you walk in, the friendliness of the staff envelops you, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary delights waiting to be discovered. Each dish I've had the pleasure of trying has been exceptional, showcasing the highest quality ingredients prepared with utmost care and expertise. The consistent excellence in both food and service ensures that El Pez Azul is a place I'll always return to whenever I'm in CDMX. It's more than just a meal; it's a memorable dining experience that I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone seeking the finest seafood...

We came on a Thursday night for dinner and got seated right away. Started off with agua frescas de maracuya and guayaba that were delicious, could really see and taste the fresh fruit. We ordered the pulpo Paul, agua chile mixto with the “alto” spicy level, and caldo de camarón. Everything was good, but our favorite was the caldo de camarón it hit the spot and the shrimp portion was very generous (didn’t even remember to take a picture before eating). Owners/chefs were nice and welcoming, food was good portions and came out quickly, and overall had a nice lowkey dinner. Would 100% come back and highly recommend.

Nice small place with good fresh seafood. We got the tuna and scallop tostadas, shrimp cocktail and ceviche. The medium shrimp cocktail was big. I’m from the U.S. so I’m used to more horseradish in my cocktail sauce. The scallops were ridiculously good. There were pieces of avocado mixed in that were fresh. The tuna was delicious and in a good citrus sauce. Really sweet staff. This is a great affordable option for fresh seafood. I was surprised it was quiet but it was a Monday
