Gaucho Grill — Restaurant in Mexico City

The food truly was next level! We didn't have any of the steaks as they were priced pretty highly... The rest of their food on the other hand was the closest I've gotten to authentic Mexican food! We had two types of tacos, they came disassembled which was fun! The tacos were fresh and warm (they even brought them in a hot pouch) the rib eye meat was heavenly and we really enjoyed them overall! We had their choripan which tasted amazing and we left happy, stuffed, and looking forward to coming here again!!

The only disappointing thing in my opinion is that they had no English menus and none of the wait staff spoke any English... I mean it is a Spanish country so I guess I can't complain, but it didn't really impede our service as we just used Google...

Overall a great experience at Gaucho Grill. Visiting Mexico City from an area in the US with nothing close to upscale Kosher dining. Adriano took care of us and he was excellent. Carpaccio was terrific as well as the filet. Steaks could have used a little more char on the outside though. Main suggestion: I get that it’s a kosher restaurant, and I am very familiar with and fond of Israeli music, but listening to Israeli Jewish songs sung by 12-year-old boys kind of killed the vibe… It’s supposedly an Argentine grill, not a knish shop… If you guys want to keep the ambiance “glatt,” even jazz instrumentals would elevate the dining experience so much more. That playlist...

We ate at this restaurant on a quick trip to Mexico City. The menu is in Spanish only and the servers did not speak much english. We communicated using Google translate!

The meats at this restaurant are top top quality, and the server even happily agreed to bring out the various cuts, to show how fresh it was.

I only give 4 stars, as this restaurant is very expensive. Steaks are about $50+ and higher from there, I guess I was expecting cheaper in Mexico where costs are...
